.@davidellesmere: "If Boris Johnson had an ounce of moral fibre, he would have sacked Hancock immediately on Friday morning. Instead, he announced that “the matter was closed”. https://t.co/BbU8eRa7Wb
Working people up and down the country are being failed by the current Government.
It was great meeting with local people in Ipswich to deliver Labour's plan: guaranteed good jobs for young people, a workforce paid a National Living Wage and flexible working for all.

Labour has called for stricter border policy all year, but again the Conservatives have been too slow.
Boris Johnson’s indecision and lax border policy means people are unable to get on with their lives.
"I hope from learning from the past, and the experiences of individuals, that we can create a positive and prosperous future for all."

To support Ipswich town centre we're proposing to freeze car parking prices at the Borough Council's car parks. Prices are still nearly 20% less than the £1.70 an hour being charged when Labour took control of the Council a decade ago.
Ipswich has seen the biggest increase in the rate of child poverty in the East of England.
Thousands of children are suffering under the Conservatives.
A devastating cocktail of unrelenting government cuts, a rise in the cost of living and the stagnation of wages left more than 1 in 3 of Ipswich’s children in poverty in the lead up to the pandemic.
We know the situation is even worse now for thousands. https://t.co/l5Yemg3GKQ
BREAKING: The Tories just voted against our amendment on the global minimum corporate tax on big multinationals.
We're the only G7 country not supporting it - and this government now risks stopping £billions coming back to Britain.
My piece for @LabourList on the Conservative's stealth cut to school funding - schools will miss out on at least £120 million thanks to this accounting trick.
With thanks to @ajjolley, @MichaelPayneUK and @wesstreeting and his team for all of their important work on this.
Looks like Tory-run @SuffolkCC will soon need to add further patches to this installation in Hawke Road, Ipswich. Hardly a model in cost effective highway maintenance, but look on the bright side, it may get you a #TurnerPrize nomination @lizharsant@HicksCllr@AReidSuffolk
A stitch in time saves nine, unless you're Tory-run @suffolkCC. Repairs ordered 17 November but policy is to leave potholes for up to 28 weeks before fixing. This one outside 3 Norman Crescent is now 46cm across, 20cm deep and rapidly undermining the road surface. So dangerous!
