3 Minutes in #Bahraich: A Ground Report

Our team visited Bahraich, #Maharajganj, #Mahsi, and other areas deeply scarred by the violence following the killing of #GopalMishra , who was allegedly attempting to replace a green flag at a #Muslim home with a saffron one. Mainstream media has painted the conflict as a one-sided story, portraying one community as aggressors, pelting stones and driving out another. But when we visited Bahraich and spoke to the families affected by the unrest, we uncovered disturbing truths that mainstream coverage has largely ignored.
From horrifying accounts of Yatris threatening women with rape, hurling children into fires, to burning homes and looting everything of value, the reality on the ground is far more complex and harrowing. Once again, as with our previous investigations, it became clear that the media narrative has been alarmingly one-sided, with few willing to dig deeper and speak to the people living this nightmare.

भाजपा के जो थोड़े बहुत समर्थक और वोटर बचे हैं, अब तो भाजपा का ये षड्यंत्रकारी और हिंसक रूप देखकर वो भी शर्मिंदा हैं। भाजपा ने अपने समर्थकों की भावनाओं को गुमराह करके, उनका इस्तेमाल अपनी सत्ता को बचाए-बनाए रखने के लिए किया है। सच तो ये है कि भाजपा अपने ही लोगों के ख़िलाफ़ षड्यंत्र कर रही है। भाजपा भाजपाइयों से दंगे कराकर उन्हें ही फँसा दे रही है। तभी तो भाजपा का विधायक, भाजपाइयों के ख़िलाफ़ रिपोर्ट लिखवा रहा है।

अब तो भाजपाई भी कहने लगे हैं : भाजपा किसी की सगी नहीं।
