Why the existing fleet matters. Data center announcements went from roughly 18 gigawatts in 2023 to about 295 gigawatts now, while the grid adds around 93 gigawatts of accredited supply through 2030. Accredited being what an operator will actually count on during the worst hour of the year.

So the pool of firm, dispatchable, 24/7 power is effectively fixed for years. No construction risk, no permitting queue, no turbine backlog.

Two honest notes. ERCOT forwards are softer, and management said they're trending toward the lower end of the 2027 range. And Burke flagged that the Texas interconnection audit will pause some reviews for a couple of months, which creates near-term uncertainty for data center projects trying to connect.

Cogentrix and the Meta PPA are both still excluded from guidance, worth roughly $700 million of additional midpoint opportunity. Guidance update comes on the Q3 call.
