The Jammu & Kashmir People's Conference (JKPC) today staged a peaceful protest against the National Conference (NC), accusing it of pursuing policies that undermine the powers of elected MLAs.

JKPC alleged that the National Conference, instead of protecting the authority and dignity of elected representatives, is facilitating attempts to weaken the institution of the legislature. The party said the same political leadership failed to prevent the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A and the loss of Jammu & Kashmir's statehood, and is now allowing the powers of MLAs to be eroded.

The party stated that today's protest is only the beginning of a wider movement. Similar protests will be held across every district of Jammu & Kashmir in the coming days. JKPC warned that if the National Conference does not change its approach, the movement will continue to grow, adding that the campaign it has launched will not stop until the concerns of the people are addressed.

The so-called “resistance” was a scripted lie. An RTI from the Assembly Secretariat points straight to a coordinated manipulation involving @JKNC_ , PDP, and sections of Congress. The Rajya Sabha polls were compromised by design, no authorised agents, no real scrutiny.

Let’s be clear:

* BJP did not have the numbers, yet walked away with the seat.
* 8 MLAs made it happen. This is not coincidence, this is orchestration.
* Rules require MLAs to show their vote to authorised agents. PDP and AIP had none. Why was scrutiny deliberately avoided?
* RTI confirms only NC, BJP, and Congress appointed agents.

JKNC, by denying Congress a safe seat, created the opening. PDP, by not deploying agents for scrutiny of three MLAs’ votes, threw that door wide open. @JK_AIP ’s absence from scrutiny sealed it.

What emerges is not confusion, it is coordination involving BJP, NC, PDP, AIP, and sections of Congress.
