A daycare employee at Capgemini's Bengaluru campus couldn't bear the abuse of the kids at the centre.

She reported it to supervisor, but instead of taking action, they fired her. She then became a whistleblower and leaked videos that exposed the abuse.

In the videos, toddlers were made to sit inside the drum of a front-loading washing machine, had water sprayed into their mouths using a toilet jet spray, were locked inside bathrooms, and were forced into narrow, water-filled pipes to frighten them. The videos triggered outrage, forcing authorities to act.

Today, according to media reports, the police have arrested the whistleblower only for allegedly "leaking sensitive videos." Lol! What a system! A poor woman with a clear conscience stood up to the powerful and went public, not for personal gain or with any malicious intent, but solely to protect those children. And she's the one who gets arrested.

हा माणूस साजुक बोलून सर्वांची दिशाभूल करतो. यांनी माघील २० वर्षा�� फक्त महिंद्रा कंपनीतील कामगारांच्या हक्काचे ३-४ कोटी रूपये देणगीच्या नावाने चोरलेत. अश्या किती संघटना असतील त्यात याने अशीच चोरी केली असेल. मी स्वतः याच्या या चोरीसाठी मुंबईच्या औद्योगिक न्यायालयात केस केली आहे. पण आपल्या देशात न्यायालये पण भ्रष्टाचाराने बरबटलेली आहेत. तरी २०१९ मध्ये औद्योगिक न्यायालयाने ला ५० लाख महिंद्राच्या युनियन ला परत करण्यास सांगितले होते , ते देखील याने दिले नाहीत. आणि आम्ही वारंवार कित्येक न्युज चॅनल्सना याच्या या कारनाम्याची बातमी जनते समोर आणावी म्हणून संपर्क केला पण कोणी यात मदत केली नाही. तरी मला विश्वास आहे याच्या काळ्या कामांना एक दिवस तरी जागा समोर घेऊन येणार , आणि याच चांगुल पणाचा बुरखा टराटरा फाडणार. @CMOMaharashtra @MahaPolice @PMOIndia @rautsanjay61 @AGSawant

बंडखोरी आणि पक्षांतराचा "तमिळनाडू पॅटर्न" महाराष्ट्रात का दिसत
नाही?

तमिळनाडूमध्ये एक वेगळं राजकीय चित्र पाहायला मिळत आहे.
विरोधी पक्षातील AIADMK चे विद्यमान आमदार मुख्यमंत्री विजय
यांच्या TVK पक्ष���त प्रवेश करत आहेत. पण या पक्षांतरासोबत ��क
महत्त्वाची गोष्ट घडते आहे—ते आधी आपल्या विधानसभा सदस्यत्वाचा
राजीनामा देत आहेत आणि त्यानंतरच नव्या पक्षात प्रवेश करत आहेत.

हा प्रकार लोकशाहीच्या दृष्टीने महत्त्वाचा आहे.

कारण जनतेने त्यांना ज्या पक्षाच्या चिन्हावर निवडून दिलं, त्या
जनादेशाचा सन्मान म्हणून ते आधी आमदारकीचा त्याग करत आहेत.
त्यानंतर नव्या पक्षात जाण्याचा निर्णय घेत आहेत. म्हणजेच, "माझ्या
राजकीय भूमिकेत बदल झ��ला आहे, आता नव्याने जनतेचा कौल
घेईन," असा संदेश त्यातून दिला जातो.

याच्या उलट महाराष्ट्रात अनेकदा वेगळं चित्र दिसतं.

आमदार आधी पक्ष बदलतात, सत्तेत सहभागी होतात, मंत्रीपदाची
शपथ घेतात आणि नंतर कायदेशीर प्रक्रिया, अपात्रतेचे वाद,
न्यायालयीन लढाया आणि राजकीय गणिते सुरू होतात. जनतेने दिलेला
कौल नेमका कोणासाठी होता, हा प्रश्न मात्र कायम अनुत्तरित राहतो.

लोकशाहीत पक्ष बदलणे हा प्रत्येक लोकप्रतिनिधीचा अधिकार आहे.
मतभेद होऊ शकतात, विचार बदलू शकतात, नवीन राजकीय दिशा
स्वीकारण्याचाही अधिकार आहे. पण त्याचवेळी जनादेशाचाही सन्मान
झाला पाहिजे.

जर एखाद्या आमदाराला वाटत असेल की तो आता मूळ पक्षाच्या
विचारांशी सहमत नाही, तर सर्वात नैतिक मार्ग म्हणजे आधी
आमदारकीचा राजीनामा देणे, नंतर नव्या पक्षात प्रवेश करणे आणि
पुन्ह��� जनतेसमोर जाऊन मत मागणे.

यामुळे लोकशाही अधिक पारदर्शक होते, मतदारांचा विश्वास टिकतो
आणि "जनादेश" ही केवळ निवडणुकीतील घोषणा न राहता प्रत्यक्षात
जपली जाते.

महाराष्ट्रातही असा राजकीय पायंडा पडू शकतो का?

हा प्रश्न कोणत्याही एका पक्षापुरता मर्यादित नाही. आज सत्ता कोणाची
आहे किंवा उद्या कोणाची असेल यापेक्षा लोकशाहीची मूल्ये अधिक
मोठी आहेत. सत्तेसाठी पक्षांतर करायचंच असेल, तर ते जनतेच्या
वि��्वासाला धक्का न लावता, राजीनामा देऊन आणि पुन्हा निवडणूक
लढवून करण्याची राजकीय संस्कृती निर्माण होणे हीच खरी
लोकशाहीची ताकद ठरेल.

जनतेने निवडून दिलेला जनादेश हा व्यक्तीचा नसतो; तो त्या व्यक्तीने
स्वीकारलेल्या विचारांचा, पक्षाचा आणि जनतेशी केलेल्या वचनांचा
असतो. त्याचा सन्मान राखणे हीच खरी लोकशाहीची कसोटी आहे.
