Parents are obsessed about their children getting excellent grades, showcasing their achievements in social media. Nothing wrong with encouraging kids. Problems come up when parents act like kids need to be the best. Self esteem linked with external validation is very harmful.
So true, no emotions are bad, no emotions are wrong. We need to teach emotion coaching from early years so that our kids can accept and regulate their emotions.
Sometimes we #feel this, othertimes we feel that & there's no right or wrong about how we feel in the moment. Yet when we become stuck we need to allow someone to hold space for us, so we can grow out of stagnation.
