NO 12 hours a day- PTS and GAFWU -affiliates of NTUI took on the TN Govt for passing the 12 hour workday law on 21st April. On 12thApril it was tabled in the Assembly. But, no MLA or media house was willing to share the Factories TN Amendment Act 2023.

On Friday, 21st Apr few hours before it was passed by the State Assembly, we got the doc in hand. Our district committees held a quick online meeting. And got about the task of writing letter to the CM & Labour Minister. They made posters, placards, held internal discussions.

We want the Factories Act - TN Amendment 2023 rescinded and dumped. A govt that claims to have concern for women, is treating them as slaves, for industries eyeing super normal profits. TN will become Tirupur!!!
