On the occasion of 80th Independence Day, some dealers in Chennai celebrated in a unique way by voluntarily offering customers to fuel for ₹2026 and pay only ₹1947, initiative was warmly received, with customers expressing immense happiness @hpcl_retail
There are moments that remind us why years of perseverance, sacrifice & unwavering commitment are always worthwhile. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's visit to the Main Control Room of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery (HRRL) on 4th July was one such unforgettable moment for the entire HRRL & HPCL family. It was a privilege for me, together with Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, to brief Hon'ble Prime Minister, on the refinery's integrated processes, product portfolio and the advanced digital systems that drive safe, efficient & reliable operations.
Yet, beyond the technology and infrastructure, two memorable moments stand out for me - Hon'ble Prime Minister’s interactions with a representative sample of workers and technicians who were involved in the construction phase, and his impromptu interaction with the representatives of Team HRRL. Those moments were precious and the interactions were simply inspiring.
In those few moments, countless years of hard work, determination & resilience found their true meaning. Every challenge overcome, every milestone achieved & every hour devoted to building this world-class refinery seemed to culminate in a shared sense of pride and purpose. For every engineer, operator, technician, contractor & employee who believed in this dream and worked tirelessly to make it a reality, this was not merely an inauguration—it was an affirmation of what collective resolve can achieve.
As we look ahead, Team HPCL & HRRL carries this inspiration with renewed determination to raise the bar even higher, set new benchmarks in operational excellence, and contribute with pride to India's energy security and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
Some milestones mark the completion of a project. Others ignite the beginning of an even greater journey. For Team HPCL & HRRL, this was one such moment.

AJ Service Station under Chennai Retail RO undertook an initiative to give relief during the peak summer season by distributing buttermilk, cool drinks, and water. Special care was given to gig workers. It was highly appreciated by our customers.@hpcl_retail@PetroleumMin
During my recent visit to one of our HPCL retail outlets — Kishore Filling Station, Lucknow — I found myself wondering: Was this truly a fuel station, or something far beyond it?
What I witnessed was a thoughtfully created customer space reflecting care, culture, inclusivity & pride. From exceptionally clean surroundings & restrooms to a dedicated “Utility Point for Women” & Fueling Island for Women customers, every detail reflected genuine customer-centric thinking. The beautiful Madhubani paintings on the walls added warmth & character, transforming the outlet into a welcoming public space rather than just a transit point.
This is the future we are striving to build at HPCL — retail outlets that go beyond fuel dispensing to become benchmarks in customer experience, safety, cleanliness, inclusivity, convenience & community connect. Our aspiration is to make every customer touchpoint meaningful, where people feel respected, comfortable, valued & proud to associate with the HPCL brand.
Heartiest compliments to the entire team behind this wonderful effort. May this inspire many more “best-in-class” outlets across our network as we continue shaping a more customer-focused & future-ready @HPCL@HardeepSPuri@neerajmittalias@PetroleumMin #TrustOnTheMove #RetailExcellence #CustomerFirst #BeyondFuel #WomenFriendlySpaces #BestInClass #OneHPCL #HPCL
Our C&MD engaged with the State Level Coordinator (SLC) – Tamil Nadu & Puducherry and State/Zonal Heads of OMCs (Retail & LPG) to review the evolving scenario, rising demand for LPG, MS, HSD, and ALPG, and preparedness to ensure uninterrupted supplies.
He appreciated the teams across OMCs for their relentless efforts in maintaining seamless fuel availability and emphasized the need for strong coordination, alignment with State authorities, and vigilance to prevent panic buying or hoarding.
Reaffirming confidence, C&MD highlighted that supply lines remain robust and stable, while reiterating a zero-tolerance stance towards malpractice and HPCL’s commitment to transparency and customer interest.

A historic first!
One of the largest and the world’s fastest growing LPG market opens up to the United States.
In our endeavour to provide secure affordable supplies of LPG to the people of India, we have been diversifying our LPG sourcing.
In a significant development, Indian PSU oil companies have successfully concluded a 1 year deal for imports of around 2.2 MTPA LPG, close to 10% of our annual imports - for the contract year 2026, to be sourced from the US Gulf Coast- the first structured contract of US LPG for the Indian market.
This purchase is based on using Mount Belvieu as the benchmark for LPG purchases and a team of our officials from @IndianOilcl , @BPCLimited & @HPCL had visited the US and engaged in discussions with major US producers over the last few months, which have been concluded now.
Under the leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji, our PSU oil companies have been providing LPG at the lowest global prices to all our mothers and sisters. Even as global prices soared by over 60% last year, Modi Ji ensured that our Ujjwala consumers continued to receive LPG cylinder at just ₹500-550 whereas the actual cost of the cylinder was over ₹1100. Government of India incurred the cost of over ₹40000 crores last year in order to ensure our mothers and sisters did not feel the burden of rising international LPG prices.

@beemji@mari_selvaraj Bison gives pure goosebumps! Emotional, thrilling, and absolutely gripping — you can’t take your eyes off the screen ! A much watch experience.
Even when LPG prices soared in the wake of global uncertainty and there was a 63% hike in Saudi CP, PM Sh @narendramodi kept our mothers and sisters insulated against the price rise and ensured they didn’t feel any negative impact.
Our energy sector OMCs suffered heavy losses to make LPG available to the kitchens at nearly half the cost at which it was being sold in the countries in our neighbourhood.
#ModiHaiToMumkinHai
Today, in a big decision taken by the Union Cabinet under the leadership of PM Modi Ji, ₹30,000 crore will be paid in twelve parts to oil companies which have kept the LPG prices stable.
The compensation, which will be divided amongst the three energy sector OMCs, will support the financial health of these companies which ensure availability, affordability and sustainability of energy supply for the citizens of the country in difficult geopolitical times and uncertainties.
In the last 11 years of Modi Government, we have witnessed a major transformation in India’s energy landscape, with special focus on providing access to clean energy to the masses.
By making LPG available at a price lower than cost, the PSU OMCs have suffered under-recoveries to the tune of approx. ₹41,000 crore during FY 24-25. Through this Cabinet proposal, it is proposed to seek approval of the Government for partial reimbursement (i.e. ₹30,000 crore) to the PSU OMCs against the under-recoveries already made by them.
India sells LPG at the cheapest prices in the world despite being an importer. More than 10.33 crore Ujjwala families are able to cook food at just ₹6 per day due to affordable fuel.
About 56 Lakh domestic LPG cylinders are delivered every day and about 6 cr. consumers visit retail outlets every day across the country and to strengthen availability of fuel in rural areas, of the total LPG distributors added during the last decade, around 86% are rural distributors.
The LPG pipe network has also been strengthened. LPG Pipelines of ~3000 kms laid since 2014. While Kandla-Gorakhpur LPG pipeline is the world’s largest LPG pipeline ~2805 KM, and Paradip-Haldia-Motihari of ~1707KM is under construction.

#WATCH | Delhi | "...JNU has done it. When I saw that news in different newspapers, I also asked my international department if we had any students from Turkey or any MoUs with Turkish universities, but we don't have an MoU or any students in the university. But had it been like MoUs with a Turkish university, we would have cancelled those, but right now we don't have. So we are helpless because we can't make any decisions. But yes, I support such a decision," says Delhi University Vice-Chancellor, Yogesh Kumar Singh, on JNU's decision to suspend the MoU between JNU and Inonu University, Turkey, until further notice
He also says, "It is very unfortunate, Turkey should not have done it (extending support to Pakistan), but they did it. Now they should be ready to pay a price for that. Indian blood is not able to digest this, now why should we be supportive of anything, whatever? Whether it is trade or tourism? They should learn that if they oppose us during wartime, they have to pay a very high price for that."
