HUHCAT is a good example of how quickly something can move from developer experiment to market on Solana.
The starting point for $HUHCAT wasn’t a complicated protocol or a team announcing two years of milestones. It was much smaller and stranger: take a tiny pixel cat and experiment with making the image part of the onchain coin creation itself.
That immediately created a technical question for SOL users. If the image data is actually embedded onchain rather than simply referenced somewhere else, does the token become more than another meme with hosted artwork?
Then the $SOL market did what it always does and turned the question into speculation.
That’s basically why HUHCAT exists. It gives the community a token around an onchain art experiment, while the pixel cat becomes a recognizable artifact people can meme, collect and trade around.
There’s still debate around the broader “first image” claims, and none of the technical novelty removes normal fresh memecoin risks like thin liquidity, concentration or brutal volatility.
But the origin itself is much more interesting than “we launched another cat.”

Found an interesting cat narrative in the trenches
$HUHCAT caught my attention
The narrative:
- WAGMI posted about HUHCAT.
- The image behind the coin is claimed to be the first image inscribed on $SOL mainnet via V1 transactions.
- That same image was placed directly onto the token, giving it a unique piece of solana history.
Token info:
- MC: $711k
- ATH: $1.66m
- Volume: $5.84m
- DEX paid: yes
don't fade good lore.
