We’re now expected to believe the High Court judgment in Prince Harry’s case against the publishers of the Daily Mail has suddenly thrown the Palace into a panic because of concerns over the King’s constitutional position.
But here’s the problem: according to Prince Harry’s representative, the Palace has known about the judgment since last Thursday. If they already knew, what changed? -They never believed Prince Harry would actually accept the offer. It was never made in good faith—it was a public relations exercise, a bluff designed for appearances. Prince Harry called that bluff. The monarchy is looking like a fucking joke.

Somebody has to say it.

First, we’re told the King’s own son can’t get the level of security he believes his wife and children need to safely visit the country where he was born, raised, served in uniform, and represented the Crown.

Now reports say Buckingham Palace has withdrawn the offer for Harry and his family to stay there after a dispute over whether his team responded in time while trying to sort out… the fucking security.

Think about how insane that sounds.

His team was trying to figure out the security before committing to the trip.

And somehow that’s what became the issue.

Who the fuck is running Buckingham Palace?

And before somebody says, “The King doesn’t control security…”

Fine.

Then let’s talk about the people who do.

Where’s the government?

Where’s the Home Secretary?

The UK is now in the lead-up to hosting the Invictus Games next year.

This “One Year to Go” moment should be about the veterans.

It should be about service.

It should be about Britain showing the very best of itself.

Instead…

We’re talking about security.

We’re talking about accommodation.

We’re talking about palace drama.

Again.

Tomorrow there’s an expected court ruling in Prince Harry’s case against the press. Whether you support him or not, that’s another moment likely to put this issue back in the spotlight.

Prince Harry is still a member of the Royal Family, even if he’s no longer a working royal.

So here’s what I don’t understand…

Wouldn’t this be the moment for the Royal institution to rally around one of its own?

Wouldn’t this be the moment to put the veterans first?

Wouldn’t this be the moment to show the world what Britain does better than almost anybody else—service, tradition, and respect for those who have worn the uniform?

Instead, the headlines keep pulling the attention somewhere else.

Whether that’s coincidence or simply the way events have unfolded, the result is the same.

The focus shifts away from the competitors.

Away from the veterans.

Away from Invictus.

And that’s a damn shame.

You can spend all day trying to protect the image of the Crown.

But if protecting the image becomes more important than showing leadership…

Sooner or later, there won’t be much of that image left to protect.

I admire Prince Harry for always putting his family’s safety and well-being first.
As a grandparent, I’d move heaven and earth to see my grandchildren. If the King can marshal every resource to protect his alleged pedophile brother, then there is
no excuse for failing to ensure his grandchildren can visit safely.

In 12 years’ time, Archie and Lilibet will indeed know the full, documented record, every book, every interview, every video, every leaked briefing, every inquest.

They will know exactly how their grandfather, the King, treated their grandmother, Princess Diana: the public betrayal, the emotional abandonment, the marriage in which she was reduced to a vessel while he conducted his long affair and then admitted it on national television.

They will know how that same institution left their 12 year old father to walk behind his mother’s coffin with almost no meaningful support from the man who became King.

They will also know how that grandfather and their uncle treated their own parents.

They will see the withdrawal of security despite documented threats to their lives, the racist media campaign their mother endured while the family stayed silent or leaked against her, the stripping of their home, the cold public statements that prioritised optics over protection.

They will understand that Harry and Meghan did not take some idyllic British life from them, they saved them from the same toxic cycle that destroyed their grandmother and came perilously close to destroying their father.

The real rebellion, if it comes, won’t be against two parents who chose safety, love and freedom over dysfunction.

It will be against the people and the institution that still cannot bring themselves to protect their own while demanding loyalty in return.

Your staggeringly predictable story is only predictable to those who have spent years refusing to read the actual history instead of the fan-fiction version that flatters the Crown.

Harry and Meghan broke the pattern. Their children will grow up knowing exactly who tried to keep it going. Get lost!

We’re talking about a British Army veteran, the founder and patron of the Invictus Games, saying he won’t bring his wife and children to the UK because of security concerns.

Think about that.

Veterans deserve better than this. The founder of the Invictus Games deserves better than this.

Next year, the UK is set to host the Invictus Games. Every host nation has a responsibility to provide a safe environment for the Games and everyone attending. Yet the conversation surrounding the founder’s own family’s security has become a story in itself.

That’s not something to celebrate. It’s an embarrassment.
