Founders get more busy fixing the day-to-day operational challenges.
As a result, founders donโt work on building a cohesive top management team.
Growth becomes slow and finally stops.
That's unfortunate.
But, it's avoidable.
This should be a priority of the founder of a fast-growth company to maintain the growth.
What's that priority?
Building a cohesive top management team (TMT)
Two reasons why founders find it challenging to build a cohesive top management team:
1. Founders donโt have the knowledge or experience for building a cohesive team
2. Founders get busy running the day-to-day operations
Itโs not true.
Management systems and processes donโt create bureaucracy. The way the companies use these systems creates bureaucracy.
To deliver on their promises to customers, fast-growth companies need management systems.
Management systems are detrimental to fast-growth companies and innovation.
Management systems are often equated to the bureaucracy that kills the entrepreneurial spirit.
Is this true? ๐คโฌ๏ธ

What kind of founder can scale their business?
A founder who can change habits that are not useful now and acquire new habits/skills to meet the current challenges.
Many founders of growing companies struggle to adapt their leadership capabilities to meet their growing business needs.
A common challenge I've seen while working with founders for scaling a startup.
What's the first step to solving this leadership challenge?
Founders should take a step back and admit that their old ways no longer work. They'll become more open to new ideas and new ways of working.
Learning about customers is a critical factor that influences the growth of scaleup. It's a never-ending process.
How do you collect relevant data about your customers and process them for:
1. Improving your service/product offering
2. Increasing current customer satisfaction
