मुझे यह देखकर अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई कि भूटान, ग्लोबल कम्पैशन डिक्लेरेशन पर हस्ताक्षर करने और JSW–Satyarthi Compassion Action Lab की शुरुआत करने वाला पहला देश बना है।

यह करुणा को नेतृत्व, शिक्षा और जनजीवन के केंद्र में स्थापित करने की दिशा में एक ऐतिहासिक और दूरदर्शी पहल है।

Thank you, Bhutan for being the first country to sign the Global Compassion Declaration and to launch the JSW-Satyarthi Compassion Action Lab.
Yesterday, at the Bhutan Compassionate Leadership Forum, the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion and JSW School of Law came together to mark a truly historic day.
The Global Compassion Declaration signed by the Prime Minister and unveiled by HRH Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck is a shared framework for embedding compassion into leadership, governance, education, and public life. It was born from dialogue among world leaders, Nobel Laureates, and civil society at the 80th UN General Assembly last year.

As the tides rise and fall, this powerful mural serves as a haunting reminder of the global refugee crisis and our collective humanitarian duty. We cannot build a prosperous and peaceful future while leaving our children behind in war, poverty, or climate displacement.
I was invited to participate in the #NextMilanForum and had the opportunity to address a large number of extremely bright youths from across the world at @Unibocconi, @ispionline, and @Deloitte on Compassionate Governance, Business, and Leadership. My message was simple: we have globalised markets and technology—now, let us Globalise Compassion.

दूसरे प्रस्ताव में कहा गया कि मनुष्यों के राज से तो जंगल-राज ही अच्छा है, क्योंकि मनुष्य अपने राज में नैतिकता और कानून बनाते हैं, फिर अपने अहंकार और फायदे के लिए, उन्हें बेहिचक तोड़ते रहते हैं।
पंचायत के तीसरे प्रस्ताव में पक्षियों को सम्मानित किया गया, क्योंकि अब तक वे किसी भी देश की सीमा को नहीं पहचानते, और न ही कभी किसी मंदिर, मस्जिद या गिरजाघर के शिखर पर उड़कर बैठ जाने में परहेज़ करते।

We were deeply honoured by the gracious invitation and warm hospitality extended by the Swiss Ambassador to India and Bhutan at the Swiss Residence in New Delhi. Ambassadors from 12 countries, from Latin America to across Europe to South East Asia and #SMGC Founder Mr. @k_satyarthi, Co-Founder Mrs. @sumedhakailash and CEO Ms. @as_satyarthi came together for a meaningful and reflective dialogue.

At the heart of the conversation was a powerful provocation: what if compassion became the guiding force of diplomacy?

Drawing from lived experiences and global realities, the exchange illuminated how compassionate action can inform foreign policy, deepen cooperation, and restore human dignity to the centre of decision-making.

It was a timely reminder that the future of diplomacy will not be shaped by negotiation alone—but by our courage to care, our willingness to respond, and our commitment to act.

The Gully Fair at Bal Mitra Mandal in Delhi saw the lanes come alive with colour, laughter, and shared purpose. It was more than an event, the fair was a coming together of children, families, and the community to celebrate safety, compassion, and care. The event promoted entrepreneurship and skill-building by enabling women, youth, and adolescents to run community-led stalls.

One of the highlights of the event was the felicitation of 12 Bal Mitra Mandal members, including women, children, youth, and adults. They were honoured as “Karuna Sathi” for their work in the community, and being true compassionate leaders. Their stories reminded us that leadership rooted in kindness can inspire an entire neighbourhood.

Alongside the celebrations, the fair became a space for learning and support. Through a Government Schemes Awareness Camp, legal and health sessions, child safety awareness by Delhi Police, and conversations on compassion, families accessed information that can make a difference in everyday life.

Families accessed essential services: Aadhaar support for 68, bank accounts for 17, EWS services for 19, and 84 people reached through the government schemes camp, along with legal (25), compassion (58), Delhi Police child safety (10), and health check-up sessions (60).

And of course, there was joy everywhere! Games, drawing corners, a bouncy Mickey, and food stalls ensured that children experienced the fair as a happy space meant just for them.

The overwhelming participation from the community reflected a shared belief: protecting childhood is a collective responsibility.

This Gully Fair beautifully wove together awareness, recognition, and recreation, strengthening child protection and nurturing compassion at the grassroots level.
