Honoured to speak today at the 81st UN General Assembly High-Level Event on Social Business, Youth and Technology at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

My journey began in social enterprise, working to address Pakistan’s water crisis. Today, in public service, I am helping shape the country’s digital asset ecosystem. These paths are connected by one conviction: systems must work for the people they have historically left behind.

As AI, blockchain and tokenisation reshape the global economy, the real question is not simply how advanced technology becomes, but how widely its benefits are shared.

For Pakistan and other emerging economies, this is an opportunity to expand financial access, unlock capital, empower young people and leapfrog legacy systems.

The future should not simply be inherited by the next generation. It should be built with them.
