@ovshake42@tintin1107 Now, the new stadium re -named as a Ranji Stadium, but only newspaper and books sometimes use it, publicly it was Eden, Eden and Eden. a new wooden gallery established, exactly opposite left side of current club house, i.e infront of bus stand besides of Babu Ghat.
@ovshake42@tintin1107 So CCC shifted in BCC ground and Renamed as a CCFC. From 1951 to current season, they played football as CFC, cricket as CCC, Rugby as a CCFC.
hence, a new club formed, name National Cricket Club, owner (i.e. caretaker, because Eden is a property of Indian army) of Eden garden.
@ovshake42@tintin1107 actually, during the early '50s, west bengal government decided to renovate Eden Gardens. During the course, Eden officiall stadium of Calcutta Cricket club. so, they demand a ground. then bollygunge cricket decide to dissolve their club and merge with CCC.
Interesting end to recent f-c match in Pakistan. In first three innings, Northern made 163 & 231, Southern Punjab 394. So SP needed one run to win in the 4th innings and sent in numbers 9 and 10 - who took 30 deliveries, from four different bowlers, before they got it!
Three people with serious knowledge but limited Twitter presence (they just won't):

@suvamr635, Women's cricket
@sumitganguly14, Indian cricket history
I won't be surprised if they see this tweet only in 2022.
See if you can get them here.
