India’s Bank employees seek two things rooted in fairness and dignity at work.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.
At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.
Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.
A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.
@PMOIndia
An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.

Breaking News: Bankers are not humans!
Govt confirms:
✅ Bankers don’t have families.
✅ Bankers don’t need rest.
✅ Bankers thrive on 24/7 work, mental stress & unrealistic targets.
While every Govt office enjoys 5Dayweeks, paid Tax Free Perks & structured work-life balance, public sector bankers are told: "Serve the nation, but don’t expect dignity & Work Life Balance."
🏦 Social Welfare as punishment, pressure as motivation, & PLI as charity, Discrimination in Incentive.
📊 Record-breaking profits? Credit to policymakers. Losses? Blame the bankers.
⚠️ Security for ATMs, but not for bank staff.
India dreams of a $5 trillion economy, but expects bankers to function on exhaustion, fear & policy apathy. Burnt-out employees don’t build strong economies.
📢 #5Daybanking isn’t a favor—it’s long overdue. But why bother? Bankers don’t sleep, don’t fall sick, and certainly don’t deserve the respect given to every other govt employee!
We Want Justice and Dignified Life.

This is a total failure of the political leadership. We elect them to rule over us but they are handing over this power to unelected officials like tax officials, @RBI … the recent Popcorn tax is a classic example. We want our Mp’s to rule over us not the Deep State officials @narendramodi@AmitShah@JoshiPralhad@nsitharaman
Budget needs to offer a vision to reform India's overburdened justice system | Mint. Our PM should urgently address the biggest failure over 77 years- inability of The Indian Republic to deliver Justice in time! @arjunrammeghwal @AmitShah https://t.co/6tHkpWTGgN
Respected Prime Minister,
We thank you for recognising and lauding dedicated Bank employees for their commendable efforts in implementing vital social security schemes. The share of Public Sector Banks is 97% in PM Jan Dhan Yojana, 96% PM in PM JeevanJyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and 93% in Atal Pension Yojana and Kisan Credit Cards, apart from significant lending to priority sector, infrastructure sector and strategic sectors.
We request your attention to the following pressing issues for the motivation and welfare of the Banking workforce:
1. Through digital transformation, the Banking services are made available 24x7 through various means for all citizens.
Thus, Implementing of a long pending issue of 5-day work week will enhance work-life balance and boost productivity, ensuring the well-being of employees. #5DayWorkWeek #WorkLifeBalance
2. Also, urgently addressing pending wage revision will recognize the hard work and dedication of employees, providing them with their rightful dues.
3. A prompt pension updation is necessary to secure the future of retired employees, offering them financial stability and peace of mind.
4. Introduction of an assured pension scheme will further safeguard the interests of the young workforce, providing them with a reliable and stable retirement plan.
5. The customer to employee ratio is not par in PSBs. Recruitment of adequate staff in Public Sector Banks would further strengthen the PSBs in serving the nation.
We hope you will consider these requests and take necessary actions for the betterment of the workforce. 🙏🏽
