Saying the Opposition is Sponsoring Insecurity is Reducing a Serious Issue to Politics - Sambo
Nigerian politicians do not take national security seriously. If the Senate president is also making these sorts of statements, we won’t get to the root of this problem.

Kwankwaso Has Been The Force Behind Most Parties' Victories Not The Candidates He Brings— Sumner Sambo
The challenges they are having in Kano shouldn’t be arising now. Why will Kwankwaso be having problems instead of being given the structures in Kano to take charge? We expect Peter Obi to use Kwankwaso’s leverage to show political leadership in his party.

Only a Few States in the North Have NDC Structures — Sambo
The NDC has virtually no structure. At the national level, it is struggling to build one. The only way it can improve on what it currently has is to broaden consultations. The NDC must position itself as a youth-led party and give young people leadership roles within its structures to appear more attractive than the APC and other parties.

Atiku Likely To Pick Vice President From South East - Sambo
The indicators around Atiku’s running mate suggest he’s likely to choose the South East. The South East has always been his political base in the South. In 2019 he picked Peter Obi, and in 2023 he picked Okowa. His move to the South East may be aimed at reducing Peter Obi’s influence in the region.

It Is In The Interest Of Political Parties To Ensure They Follow INEC’s Deadlines — Sambo
INEC is already appealing in court, but right now there is no stay of execution that prevents political parties from going ahead with their processes after May 30th. The law as it stands is that political parties have still September 16 before they can file their political candidates.

What is Happening With Political Parties Shows We Have Several Internal Democracy Issues - Sambo

I REJECT THE CONCOCTED RESULTS OF THE ADC PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARIES
Following reports of widespread voter disenfranchisement in most parts of the country during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primaries yesterday, I unequivocally reject the concocted results being announced.
I had initially stated that I will only accept the outcome of the Primaries if the process was free, fair, and transparent, and I stand by my word. I will not accept results from a process that does not reflect the values that the ADC had pledged to uphold, to rescue Nigerians from the impunity and gross mismanagement that our country is currently facing in the hands of the ruling party.
There’s no way that about eighty percent of members of the party were not allowed to vote, and you expect me to accept such results. Then what makes us different from the others? The whole idea of the ADC was to give the Nigerian people a platform, to amplify the voices of the downtrodden, and make Nigeria a better place for everyone irrespective of backgrounds, ethnicity, or religion.
A party that criticizes the ruling APC and INEC for vote buying, rigging and writing of results, cannot be engaged in vote buying, writing of results, and other electoral malpractices that leads to the disenfranchisement of voters who are party members. This is not acceptable!
- Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi
I will not be attending the announcement of the ADC Presidential Election Results today. I am concerned by reports from across the country of widespread vote rigging, some of which I myself observed, and will therefore be taking advice on my next steps.
APC's 12.9m Membership Register Dwarfs PDP's 2.4m, ADC's 1.6m, LP's 1.3m and NDC 700k - Yilwatda
APC submitted 12.9 million registered members, PDP submitted 2.4 million, ADC submitted 1.6 million, Labour Party submitted 1.3 million voters while NDC submitted 700,000. If you put all these numbers combined it is not up to APC's numbers. Tinubu's result from the primaries is factual based on data.
Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman, APC
Nigerians Should Disregard Figures from APC Presidential Primaries; Governors Are Trying to Please Tinubu — Sambo
In 2022, the APC told Nigerians it had 41 million members, yet President Tinubu emerged with fewer than 9 million votes in 2023. The APC is not a party to be trusted with figures from its own processes. The party currently claims 12 million registered voters, and yet it’s being said that Tinubu received 11 million votes. The governors are trying to outdo each other to please him.

The Youth Party Representative Who Spoke On Their Behalf Seemed Frightened — Ameh
This is not the first time Youth Party is going to court. They had their national chairman Sulieman who went to court when they were de-registered and the court reinstated them ahead of 2023 elections. They even enter an agreement with INEC that they will not participate in the 2023 elections so that whatever laws that come to section 225A that leads to de-registration will not affect them.
