I was thinking about @switchboardxyz again, and honestly, it’s crazy how important it is. Blockchain literally runs on accurate data, whether it’s prices, scores, or any real-world info. If the data is off, the whole system is a mess.

The first time I came across something powered by Switchboard, I didn’t even notice at first. It just worked swiftly, prices were on point, updates were smooth, and there wasn’t a single hiccup. Today marks my 4-year anniversary in the Ronin ecosystem! 🚀

Time flies… 4 years ago, a friend from college in the U.S. told me about a “Chinese game” called Axie Infinity (which isn’t Chinese, haha) built with blockchain technology. I couldn’t believe it, so I started researching immediately and I found $AXS at around $2.

At that time, I was working 15-hour days running my e-commerce business, living a tough life as a self-employed entrepreneur. But then, I discovered Axie Infinity, and my life changed. I made my first investment and, within months, I was managing 350 scholarships, helping families in Venezuela, Argentina, the Philippines…

At the same time, I became one of the first content creators on Twitch and YouTube for the game. Back then, the only content available was from @cagyjan1 and “el diablo de los mancos” (now known as @degranoengrano1 )

2021 was insane. Everyone was grinding, taking advantage of the opportunities in the ecosystem. There was barely any time for drama. Sky Mavis itself seemed overwhelmed by the explosive growth, which naturally led to some mistakes.

Then came the collapse, the hack, and suddenly there were only two choices: give up or keep building.

The years 2022, 2023, 2024, and now 2025 have been tough, but they’ve helped build a much stronger foundation than what we had before. September 2022 at AxieCon was a huge boost for me , meeting so many people (many of whom are reading this now) reignited my motivation to stay in this space.

This doesn’t end in 2025/26 this is a long-term mission. Players must become key stakeholders in gaming revenues. The famous phrase, “in-game assets should be real player-owned assets,” needs to become an undeniable reality.

It’s been challenging, and the road hasn’t been easy… but I still believe this is the future.

Meanwhile, Web2 gamers are spending thousands of dollars on FIFA packs, Fortnite pavos, or League of Legends skins… with zero return. But that’s not a scam, right? 😅

I’m not leaving. I’ll keep creating content, holding my $RON bags, and supporting the Spanish and LATAM communities, just like I always have

In just a few hours, Ronin will open its doors to anyone who wants to build on it. If things go well, we’ll see new projects, a fresh horizon, like when we migrated to Ronin in 2021. Remember those $80 eth fees to buy an Axie? 😅

This new paradigm brings huge opportunities… but also new risks. I hope we’ve learned our lesson. Stay sharp
