This is a young medical doctor called Dr Innocent. He’s working as a house officer at the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital in Calabar, Cross River State.

Dr Innocent and his other doctor colleagues who are also house officers have NOT been paid for 290 days.

Yes you read that right.
A whole 290 days of working as a medical doctor with ZERO pay. That’s about 10 months work with NO pay.

According to Dr Innocent,
The Ministry of Defence has refused to pay their salaries for no reason. This young medical doctors are being worked like slaves while receiving ZERO pay.

They have nobody to speak for them.
They have nobody to fight for them.
They are suffering and dying in silence.

The Minister of Aviation just released the CCTV account of what actually happened at that airport.

Read it and tell me this isn't damning.

Peter Obi cried persecution. Said his tyres were unjustly clamped. Framed it like the government was coming for him.

But according to the minister's statement, the footage tells a completely different story and if it holds up, it means he knew exactly which card to play.

He knows Nigerians are emotional people, and he's played that card before.

His own police driver a Nigerian police officer, paid by Nigerian taxpayers parked the car blocking the entrance, walked off into the terminal, and left it unattended for roughly 30 minutes. Not seconds. Half an hour. At an international airport.

That's a security risk by any global standard.

Staff didn't even know whose car it was when they clamped it. They were just doing their job.

Then, per the minister, instead of paying the ₦25,000 fine like any other Nigerian would, Obi got on the phone with the manager himself and had the car released no payment, no consequence.

It's a man who wants your vote showing you exactly how he behaves when the rules are inconvenient for him he doesn't follow them, he calls someone.
And the police driver detail should bother you too.

Why is a serving police officer functioning as personal chauffeur for a private citizen, opposition candidate or not? That's a question on its own.

The minister is asking for a public apology and for the fine to actually be paid.

Pastor Adeboye chose to enter a political conversation and publicly defend Tinubu’s handling of security by saying Tinubu has done his bit and cannot wear military uniform to confront terrorists.

That defence makes no sense to me.

Nobody expected Tinubu to become a field commander.

The office of President is not ceremonial.
It is executive.

Tinubu was elected to secure lives, direct institutions, set priorities, enforce accountability and produce outcomes.

That is the job.

So when Adeboye says “he has done his bit”,
I have to ask:
Done what exactly?

Because citizens do not measure governments by effort.
They measure governments by results.

If people still feel unsafe, if killings remain part of public discussion, if communities continue to complain about insecurity, then citizens are allowed to reject political consolation speeches.

And what makes this worse is the imbalance.

When government fails, citizens are told to be patient.
When citizens complain, they are called enemies.
When religious leaders defend power, suddenly everyone must become silent because religion is involved. Una papa!

Once you speak politically, you become open to political criticism, simple!

My issue is simple:
Why defend government performance more passionately than demanding better security outcomes?

Nobody asked Tinubu to wear camouflage.
People asked him to govern.

And if citizens believe government performance on security is inadequate, they have every right to say so and demand better.
Public office is responsibility.
Not immunity.
