It is honestly wild how Tamil Nadu politics always follows the exact same script.
No matter the time period, whether it's 1980 or 2026, every aspiring politician treats the DMK like the ultimate heavy boxing bag. You’ve gotta punch as hard as you can just to prove you're in the ring. That playbook has been running for 45+ years straight.
That said, the @arivalayam has never won an election on public sympathy. They have always won when people simply wanted a change because they were fed up with the ruling establishment of the day. In other words, the DMK was always the people's default trusted fallback option.
The irony is that even though the DMK's governance, development, and welfare delivery outpace every other party that has ruled Tamil Nadu, a fact that even non-DMK critics concede in private, they somehow manage to shoot themselves in the foot. While in power, their over-the-top optics and putting the entire first family front and center everywhere you look end up alienating just enough voters to swing the pendulum right back.
Voter expectations in Tamil Nadu politics really come down to a double standard, but it makes total sense when you look at party DNA. Voters only want to see their actual leaders in the frame not an entire family taking up all the public space and oxygen.
Because the DMK was founded on grassroots activism, social reform, and anti-elitist roots, the public naturally expects its leaders to live simply and stay tightly connected to everyday people. They are supposed to be a "people's party" that actually sails right alongside the common man. If a DMK leader starts living a flashy, flamboyant life, the public instantly pushes back, because it completely betrays that foundational identity. This I believe has been the fundamental problem for the DMK.
Interestingly, voters hold parties like ADMK or even TVK to a totally different standard. Figures like MGR, Jayalalithaa, and now @TVKVijayHQ get a free pass on living flamboyant lives, avoiding the media, or keeping their distance. Because their appeal is built on cinematic star power and a cult of personality, people accept them as larger-than-life figures.
For the DMK, that playbook doesn't work. They don't have the luxury of acting like celebrity movie stars, or living that flamboyant life, the moment they stop looking like everyday activists or that common man, the electorate is quick to make them pay for it.
This is the harsh reality of Tamil Nadu politics. What do you guys think?
One doesn’t have to be daring enough to call a SPADE a SPADE.
When a sitting Chief Minister could say,
1. “Vaya Thorantha Nalla Varum”
2. “Kavarchi Katta Naan enna _______”
these kind of PRECIOUS GOLDEN WORDS,
He doesn’t have an iota of conscience for his CHAIR in the first place.
And oh my goodness, calling Mr. Felix, “Shut up, you fool,” and that too after he used the word first, is a crime to you? It means I’ll do that crime often, with pride.
Because he is a REAL FOOL who doesn’t know an iota of facts, other than spreading fabricated lies.
Also, you can set whatever narrative you want. I’m the least bothered.
And I DON’T EVEN HAVE A MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH DMK OR ANY PARTY, so where does your claim of me being a DMK Spokesperson come from?
I don’t need to be in DMK to defend Dr. Kalaignar or Mr. Stalin or Mr. Udhay.
You just need to have one thing, and that’s alien to you and TVK dimwits…
It’s called a BRAIN.
Whatever said foul language is condemnable...
Apdiye antha Cheating and extra marital affair um thappu nu ithu vara eppavachu kanduchurukeengala?
: Haan..Anni venaam avaroda charm ku pooja hegde aachum irunthurukkalam nu pala murai kanduchurukkurom...
So the first protest by the ruling party is:
1. Not for NEET exemption when students are giving up on life
2. Not for Cauvery water release where farmers are on the brink of giving up on life
3. Not for caste kill!ngs due to which too many murders have taken place in last 3 months including one just 3 days back
4. Not for enquiry into human feces found floating in a SCHOOL water tank
buuuuuuut for an imaginary insult to the actor's side chick whom he soft launched a week after the world found out he was emotionally abusing his wife and a week before the election.
The utter depravity of the voters of that party is dragging TN to the pits of hell.
Just realised he did this cringe ass mannerisms in the movie itself as H vinoth said and he did the same in assembly so this can go in movie promotions and title card as well.
Some tharkuris said his reaction was spontaneous but this was rehearsed and acted out in movie itself. He cant do anything original.
The more you know you realise how much of a self centred validation hungry psychopath he is.

She had the superpower of shape-shifting with her voice. Whether it was joy, longing, devotion, or mischief, she sang it effortlessly. Her presence lit up every stage she stood on, and every genre seemed to belong to her.
All the Chinna Chinna Vanna Kuyils and Kiliyes will miss this nightingale. But voices like Janaki Amma's will never truly leave us.
Why so many high profile exits from Guidance Tamil Nadu?
Guidance Tamil Nadu is the top notch nodal agency for investments in our country.
It has contributed significantly to bringing investments to our state.
We were the first state to place a permanent representative from Guidance in Taiwan. Now, we have permanent representatives in other countries like Japan as well.
Guidance continuously scouts for opportunities across the globe and has industry experts in its team.
A very strong negative signal has been sent to investors with the scrapping of the Parandur project.
Despite requests from all major industry bodies, the project has still been scrapped.
Tamil Nadu needs investors, and they have already been waiting for a long time for Chennai to have an airport of international standards, along with extensive connectivity and top-notch air cargo facilities, among other infrastructure.
All international investors interact first with Guidance, and this agency ensures continuity by regularly maintaining relationships.
So many high-profile exits are happening at a time when the Industries Ministry is already struggling to function effectively.
I hope the government understands how critical these issues are.
நான் இங்க கெட்ட வார்த்தை பேசுனது இல்ல... So let me put it as politely as I can.
A child freezing in front of a minister and a camera doesn't necessarily reflect their actual ability. Turning a child's vulnerable moment into social media content says more about the minister who chose to make it a public spectacle than it does about the child.
Unfortunately, the child's dignity seems to be "மயிருக்கு சமம்" when weighed against @Keerthana4VNR 's urge to create content.
And don't assume you can always hide behind the claim of "good intentions" and expect people to buy it. Good intentions don't automatically justify the impact of your actions.
Who knows? Someday, this very child may put you and your leader in your place. Karma has a way of working itself out.
Politics is very unforgiving. So when you look at states that have done exceptionally well, have lost. Like DMK has done very well for Tamil Nadu, and I used to compete with them in terms of investments - @naralokesh !
