On 11 July at 7:24 PM, I was assaulted by two men at the Caltex petrol station in Sri Damansara.

I sustained a fractured eye socket and multiple injuries to my body. A police report has been lodged, and the case is currently under investigation.

I’m sharing this to inform those who know me and to remind everyone to stay aware of your surroundings and stay safe.

Ramai yang cepat melabel generasi muda hari ini sebagai malas, lembik dan manja. Saya tidak melihatnya begitu.

Bila satu generasi mula bertanya "buat apa aku bersusah-payah", itu bukan tanda mereka rosak. Itu tanda sistem yang sudah rosak.

Tahun-tahun paling makmur di Amerika ialah antara 1945 hingga 1960-an.

Pada zaman itu, seorang yang habis sekolah menengah, tanpa ijazah, boleh bekerja di kilang berhampiran rumah dan mampu membeli rumah, membeli kereta, membawa keluarga bercuti, dan menghantar anak ke universiti.

Generasi itu bekerja keras. Tetapi mereka mendapat apa yang sepatutnya. Kerja keras menukar nasib. Itu sebabnya pengorbanan itu berbaloi.

Hari ini, keadaan sudah terbalik.

Seseorang boleh bekerja lapan belas jam sehari dan hidupnya hampir tidak berubah. Kurang satu peratus daripada penduduk benar-benar berjaya naik ke kelas yang lebih tinggi. Selebihnya bekerja sekadar cukup makan.

Bila ganjaran sudah hilang maka tuntutan keseimbangan kerja dan kehidupan wajar. Bukan kemalasan tetapi logik.

Bila masyarakat berubah, majikan, kerajaan dan generasi tua hanya ada dua pilihan.

Lawan, dan tidak ke mana. Atau sesuaikan diri.

Sepanjang sejarah, mereka yang bijak sentiasa memilih yang kedua.

Redelineation: The whole of Malaysia can be reviewed

On 9th March 2018, EC submitted the Redelineation Report to then PM Najib Razak. This signals the end of the Redelineation Exercise, and thus, one can start the calculation for the next 8-year time frame.

Now, all three review units (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak) can be redelineated. The 2018 exercise was blatant in yielding gerrymandering and malapportionment.

EC can only propose redelineation within the framework of state boundaries. Dewan Rakyat arbitrarily determines parliamentary constituency allocations. Our original constitution didn't envisage the formation of Federal Territories. Vague limits for equalisation.

The legacy of past constitutional amendments and the 2018 exercise is as follows:
Currently (for Peninsular Malaysia), the most populous constituency is Bangi (332644), while the least populous constituency is Lenggong (37330).

This means the Bangi voter has 1/9 of the voting power of Lenggong.

Hence, any form of equalisation of voting power will be limited within the state. We propose a tight deviation of +/-10% of the state Electoral average for Peninsular Malaysian states.
