And this remarkable story by @TheFloridaTrib on how Casey DeSantis’s Hope Florida initiative may have actually done more harm than good, only elevates the anger people are feeling over this scandal

I never in a million years thought the president and First Lady of the United States would be targeting me personally and trying to hurt my kids, just because I used my voice to call them out.

Bryon Donald just made a total fool of himself at a rally in Florida. People at it are calling him unhinged because a man asked him if he had read the book Caste by Isabel Wilkerson which was a New York Times best seller & picked for Oprah’s book club and he flipped out on him.
WOW! Democrat @AngieNixon takes a
6-point LEAD in Florida's Senate race!
'Dodgy' Republican #Moody was 'gifted'

For the rapist defenders:
Ketamine is not a party drug in that it gets you just high. It causes the user to lose ability to control their bodies at high doses and leaves the person conscious but unable to move, speech or consent.
The amount of ketamine given to the Cornell gang rape victim is enough to leave her defenseless for the 7 hours she was raped. They kept giving her more and more on their dicks as they raped her.
If you are using the defense that she took it willingly, you are total scum and you are telling the world you would rape a paralyzed person for 7 hours and think it is okay.
Accepting drugs is not consent to sex.
Getting drunk is not consent to sex.
Consent to sex with one person isn't consent to sex with 6 others.
See the pattern.
You must get consent to everything.
These men invited others when she couldn't move, couldn't consent and let them rape her.
The world failed this poor woman.
Johnathan Newell, one of the Cornell 7 gang rapists is the one that sent the Snapchat message to the “Chi Phi Actives,” where the other 6 learned about the “free p*ssy.”
Never let this story die down and never stop calling it out.
He wants to be a Dr. No med school should accept him
Arianne Betancourt, daughter of Justo Betancourt, who was detained at Alligator Alcatraz for six 1/2 months, just tried to talk with Maria Elvira Salazar at a community event. Arianne wanted to know why Salazar never helped her dad, despite her pleading with her office to do so.
A 7-year-old girl was riding her bike when a stranger pulled up, grabbed her and forced her into his car.
Her aunt, Alecia Swejkoski, saw it happen and sprinted toward the vehicle.
Alecia threw herself halfway through the driver’s side window and started fighting him while her niece was still trapped inside. The man punched her, grabbed for the wheel and violently jerked the car forward and backward, trying to throw her off and get away.
But Alecia kept one hand on the steering wheel and the other fighting to get his grip off the little girl.
Then another driver, Scott Van Luven, saw what was happening and pulled his vehicle in front of the car to block the suspect in. He rushed over, helped pull the man out and held him there until police arrived.
Alecia was hurt, but her niece got out safely.
Because Alecia refused to let go and Scott chose to stop and help, that little girl made it safely back to her family.
I keep thinking there has to be a bottom with Trump, and he keeps proving me wrong.
A U.N. commission, for the first time in 70 years, passed a resolution calling for women and girls’ rights and justice and gender equality, 37 to 1.
The lone dissenting nation was Donald Trump’s delegation from the United States.
He’s against female equality. A new low for Trump.
I urge you to remember this in November.
“They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
On the *same day* the Cornell Seven drugged and raped Jane Doe, Cornell banned four students (including the President of Cornell @jvplive) from campus for three years for nonviolent, pro-Palestine protests. The same @Cornell officials let the rapists off with apology essays.
Cool message @ByronDonalds. Where were you while I was raising my kids in Florida. My son is 25 and he can't afford to live here independently. My daughter should be 23, but she was murdered here in the Parkland school shooting. Where were you while this state was becoming less safe and unaffordable?
The answer Byron is you were pushing your red meat bullshit and ignoring what Floridians needed. @davidjollyfl is running for Governor to fix what you broke. He speaks to people like me.
DAVID JOLLY WILL BE THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF FLORIDA!!!
The man who sent “free p*ssy” to the group chat was on a pre-med track. He was going to be a doctor when he sees half the human race as glorified fleshlights.
And if that single fact doesn’t highlight for you how violence against women becomes a systemic societal issue, I don’t know what to tell you.
I’ve lived with depression and anxiety for more than 25 years.
I wanted to share a few things that have made a difference for me. This isn't medical advice—just lessons learned through trial and error across many tough years of personal experience.
Here are 10 things that help me manage anxiety and depression… (1/12)
DEFEATING TRUMPISM IS NOT ENOUGH: DEMOCRATS MUST DELIVER FOR WORKING FAMILIES
Donald Trump is the most dangerous president in American history and Democrats must do everything possible to roll back his disastrous policies.
But running against Trump is not enough. The American people are hurting and they want to see a pro-working class agenda that will provide meaningful improvements to their lives. Democrats must have the courage to take on Oligarchy, corporate greed and a corrupt campaign finance system. No more incrementalism, no more same-old, same-old failed establishment policies that simply make the rich even richer.
Democrats must restore faith in democracy and the belief that government can work for working families and not just the billionaire class. Our job is to expand our progressive grassroots movement so that when Democrats regain power they must:
✅ Pass Medicare for All and guarantee health care to every person in our country as a human right.
✅ Increase the minimum wage to $20 an hour and pass legislation making it easier for workers to join unions.
✅ Raise taxes on the billionaire class and large profitable corporations.
✅ Lower housing costs by building 7 million units of low income and affordable housing.
✅ Provide free tuition at public colleges and universities.
✅ Get billionaire funded super PACs out of elections.
✅ Create millions of jobs by moving our energy system away from fossil fuels to energy efficiency and sustainable energy.
✅ Protect the American people from the existential and economic threats of AI.
✅ Cut military spending, end “endless wars,” and stop all U.S. military aid to Israel.
January 1, 2027.
That's when the biggest Medicaid cuts in modern American history officially start to bite. Trump's Big Ugly Bill signed in July includes work requirements, provider tax changes, and eligibility restrictions that the nonpartisan CBO says will push roughly 10.9 million Americans off their health coverage by 2034 — including up to 7.6 million from Medicaid alone.
But here's the part that should make your blood pressure spike:
The midterm elections are on November 3, 2026.
The cuts begin six weeks later.
This wasn't an oversight.
The pain was deliberately scheduled to begin after voters had already cast their ballots. Republicans knew exactly what these cuts would do to rural hospitals, seniors, kids with disabilities, and working families. They just didn't want you connecting the dots at the ballot box.
92% of adults on Medicaid already work. The "work requirement" doesn't catch freeloaders — it kicks people off coverage because of paperwork, address changes, or jobs that don't neatly fit a bureaucratic checkbox.
The bill also includes a $155 billion cut to rural Medicaid funding. If you live anywhere outside a major city, that ER may not be there in five years.
Don't let the timeline trick you. The Big Ugly Bill is a stealth cut. The only question is whether we'll be tricked again.

We could feel the energy in the packed house tonight in Orange County, full of people ready to believe in each other, believe in better for our state, and believe in our winning movement.
Florida has a BUDGET SURPLUS, but our state parks look like they’re headed for foreclosure.
FDEP says there’s $759 MILLION in backlogged repairs.
That report was sent to @GovRonDeSantis , Senate President @Sen_Albritton and House Speaker @Daniel_PerezFL
