🚨How MODI REGIME replaced Indian PSU with ADANI, in Bhutan.

⚡️On 22-04-2014, the Governments of India and Bhutan signed an Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) for development of Hydroelectric Power (HEP) through JVs between their PSUs.

⚡️This IGA was a result of 2006 Cooperation agreement between India and Bhutan and former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh’s visit to Bhutan in 2008.

⚡️ By April 2014, 03 HEPs (1,416 MW) were already operational, 03 (2,940 MW) were scheduled to be commissioned in 2018 and 04 HEPs (2,120 MW) were in the pipeline.

💧⚡️One of those 04 in the pipeline, the 570 MW WANGCHU HEP, was to be developed by a JV of India’s Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (SJVNL) and Bhutan’s DGPC.

🚨 After MODI REGIME took over, SJVN was kicked out and replaced by ADANI.

🚨 Between Indian PSUs and DGPC, the later always held majority/controlling stakes in the JV and the Concession period of the agreements was 30-35 years.

😳 But Adani wanted 70% STAKES in the JV with DGPC and a Concession Period of 90 years. Could he have sought such nasty PRIVILEGES without MODI’S support❓

🚨 HEP accounts for nearly 63% of Bhutan’s exports. DGPC controls all the HEP plants in the country and is the highest tax payer of the Country. By claiming nasty privileges, Adani would have caused issues in India-Bhutan relations.

⚠️ Adani’s Power projects are already a cause of trouble with India’s two neighbours - Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and was kicked out of Kenya 🇰🇪 for the same.

🚨 Bangladesh 🇧🇩 has issues with coal cost and plant capacity calculations. In Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 people have filed petitions against Adani, on issues related to power purchase rates, environmental issues and to question if it was a G2G agreement.

🚨Whether Bhutan 🇧🇹 will also raise issues about Tariff, Plant Capacity, Environmental issues, will be known shortly.

⚠️ After POWERGRID, SJVNL becomes another Indian PSU loosing business to Adani abroad, thanks to MODI REGIME.

🚨🚨Remember, WE THE PEOPLE own these PSUs. Every ₹ earned by them is used for Nation 🇮🇳 Building. By replacing our PSUs with Adani, MODI REGIME has committed TREACHERY, TREASON and SHOULD BE TRIED FOR IT, ALONGWITH ADANI.

P.S. - Adani is going to recover the Cost of these HEP projects by selling Electricity to India too.
