Excellent read! Satya has made a strong case for how businesses should treat powerful AI, like a trusted insider who still needs checks.
The reason isn't that AI is bad. Anything with access to sensitive data and the power to act can make mistakes or be misused.
His advice is simple.
Keep the controls outside the AI. Record everything it does, limit what it can touch, have it checked independently, and always keep a human who can hit the stop button.
When a model "shows its reasoning," we tend to assume we are seeing how it reached its answer.
Research says models can be shaped by hidden factors and never mention it in their stated reasoning. The explanation looks clean and logical, but it may not be the real one.
It is a bit like asking someone why they made a decision: they give you a neat, sensible reason, but the actual reason was something they never mentioned
Forget CJP & CEC for a moment - the 10th October Police crackdown confirms a very dangerous trend that we have been tracking for some time... the integration of rogue / extremist elements into Delhi Police. Do we now have an extraconstitutional militia doing the Govt's dirty work?
Is there a working copy of the Nazi Brown Shirts in Delhi? How do these RW goons get a free pass every time? How does the Delhi police KNOW who these guys are?
Does this not break down the basic trust that citizens have in the police?

They brutally beat Comrade Saurabh and hurled casteist slurs at him.
@DelhiPolice, you will not get away with this!
You laid your hands on one comrade.
You answer to all of us.
You will be held accountable!

To my generation,
There comes a moment in the life of every generation when it must choose between comfort and conscience. For us, that moment has come again.
In July, we stepped out onto the streets and a union minister resigned. We have done this before.
In 1942, the British arrested the leaders before dawn, believing a movement dies when its leaders are taken. It did not. The young carried it forward and ended the Raj.
Today, Modi-Shah's playbook is the same: close the roads, call it illegal, detain people before they speak.
So our answer will be the same as the young of 1942. If any of us is stopped tomorrow, the one standing beside us carries it on. If that one is stopped, the next does. This movement belongs to every one of us.
Years from now, someone will ask what we did on the 10th of October, when the trains stopped, the roads were sealed and a nation was told to stay silent.
Let our answer be one we are proud to give.
See you tomorrow.
Jantar Mantar 2.0 continues.
Mr. Musk, yes, no billionaire should dictate a nation’s policy - Indian or American.
India must welcome competition in satellite internet, from Indian and global providers, whoever offers the most practical and affordable last-mile solution for those in remote regions. In countries with lower per-capita incomes, satellite internet must be affordable too. High subscription fees and equipment costs risk putting it beyond the reach of ordinary households. Connectivity must bridge the digital divide, not create a new one.
India knows our networks and spectrum are strategic infrastructure, not merely commercial assets. India’s national security safeguards are non-negotiable.
Every country makes choices based on its own interests. Those in the West cannot preach free markets while practicing protectionism at home. USA imposed 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs to protect its domestic industry, just as India takes measures to protect its own domestic manufacturers. Both India and the US have restricted Huawei over security concerns. One cannot demand a level playing field from others only when it suits its own agenda.
Indians will internally debate, question and address our strengths and shortcomings as a democratic country.
Take BharatNet, India’s programme to bring broadband to village-level local bodies. We will question why, as the CAG’s 2026 audit report found, the programme is struggling to meet its original objectives. Why were only 33.2% of service-ready Gram Panchayats operational, despite ₹39,888 crore being spent? At the same time, we know to appreciate our telecom sector and regulations, which has made internet data among the world’s most affordable, bringing millions online.
India is a democracy, not a colony. We welcome the world, but we, the Indian people, will decide our own future - not Western vested interests, their double standards or any billionaire - Indian or American.
What?!?!?! The US punishes India for importing fuel from Russia and threatens 100% tariffs on other countries that do so. And then Trump blithely announces the US is doing the same?

Like dhongi babas, these market geniuses use logic & reasoning from a parallel universe, but basically both need to paint a rosy future - so more money can be extracted from you.
Never seen markets reach 52 week lows on strong GDP growth , bank credit at 19% , PMI in expansion for burg goods and services and good earnings ..
Markets are giving a loud message - need stable policies and lower taxes.. avoid micro regulation of every sector..
NOBODY is connecting the dots on these Gen Z protests.
India. France. Spain. Chile.
Different signs. Same problem.
Young people can't get hired.
Can't afford rent.
Can't afford a house.
Can't see a future.
At the same time, AI is quietly deleting the jobs they were supposed to start with.
Entry-level hiring has COLLAPSED since 2024.
You can't tell a generation to "work hard" when the first rung of the ladder is gone.
The streets are the only place left.

India’s domestic air traveller numbers have stopped growing .
Frankly given the fares , poor service , and high costs of airport transfers and hotels , even business travellers prefer online meetings to the extent possible .
Airport charges are another big irritant .
Not good for a growing economy like ours to see flat air traveller numbers .
