Acura ZDX (Expected: Early 2024) :
You may recognize the ZDX name from Acura's old coupe-SUV model, but this time around the moniker adorns a midsize crossover that becomes Acura's first EV when it arrives early next year. The 2024 ZDX rides on General Motors' Ultium battery platform—sharing components with the Cadillac Lyriq—and the 102.0-kWh battery will provide up to 325 miles of range. The 340-hp, single-motor, rear-wheel-drive A-Spec model will be joined by a 500-hp, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Type S, which also wears upgraded brakes, adaptive dampers, and air suspension. The A-Spec should start around $60,000.

2025 Chevy Suburban First Look: New Interior, Revised Suspension, Problems Solved?
With one of the oldest model nameplates still rolling around, the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban SUV doesn't do much to rock that boat. Only mildly refreshed, it remains gigantic and boxy—the longer-wheelbase version of the Tahoe. Upgrades include an improved diesel option and a more modernized interior.
All of the Suburban's six trims benefit from an updated front fascia with slimmer DRLs. Premier and High Country Suburbans get new walk-up and walk-away light animations as standard. Plus, Chevy is introducing two new exterior colors: Lakeshore Blue Metallic and Cypress Gray. Finally, new and optional 24-inch wheels can be fitted to RST and High Country trims.

David Beard's First 200-MPH Trip :
As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to go 200 mph. I recall my younger years when I’d peer through the windows of sports cars to get a glimpse of the highest number on the speedometer. My first exposure to 200 mph came at Michigan International Speedway with 40 of the premier class NASCAR machines racing through Turn 1 as I stood on the fence, just feet away from the pack. Talk about a rush. I needed 200 mph in my life
This was more about a milestone for me. I’ve tested two 911 Turbo S models, and it briefly tied the record as the quickest to 60 mph. I drove it at Lighting Lap. I’ve been up and down Angeles Crest Highway in it. I’ve gone north of Ojai on State Route 33—arguably one of the best roads in the world—when we compared the Turbo S to the Maserati MC20. For me, this was full circle with one of the most epic sports cars Porsche will ever make. 200 mph? Check. 250 mph? Here we come

1986 Ford Escort RS Turbo Is Today's Bring a Trailer Find :
Here's a Ford hot hatch that we never got in the States, and it's for sale on the online auction site Bring a Trailer until Friday, January 5.
On the Continent, the range-topping Escort RS had a turbocharged engine, a manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential.
This example, sold new in Spain, is now on offer in Florida.
On this side of the Atlantic, the Ford Escort was never really seen as much of a performance car. The second-generation Escort GT of the early 1990s had lots of Mazda parts and drove better than expected, but the rest of the Escort range was largely thrifty and dull. Not so in Europe, where the Escort nameplate had established a history of rally wins and some quite tasty special editions were offered.

Buick Electra (Expected: 2024)
Buick has revived the nameplate of the 18-foot-long steel sled from 1959 for its new all-electric SUV, that's already been revealed for China. The Electra E5 uses GM's Ultium battery platform and should be roughly the same size as a Chevrolet Equinox. An investigation into trademarks may have revealed Buick's future lineup, with filings for Electra E1 through E9. We expect the Electra E5 to perform similarly to the already available Cadillac Lyriq, with a range of 300 miles and 340 horsepower. Buick hopes to put its tri-shield logo atop a fully-electric lineup by 2030, but we should see the first Electra sometime in 2024.
