Noose Man! Broken Rope! Loose Tongue!
In 1825 a new Czar, Nicholas I, ascended the throne of Russia. A rebellion broke out, led by liberals demanding that the country modernize- That its industries and civil structures catch up with the rest of Europe.
Your Habits Are Your Destiny
You don’t decide your future in big, dramatic moments. You decide it in the small, boring, daily choices. What you eat. How you spend your evenings. Whether you read or scroll. Whether you exercise or sit.
These choices feel insignificant in the moment. But they compound. They become who you are. And who you are determines where you end up.
The lesson: Change your habits, and your life changes automatically. The rest is commentary.
@simiofjos@ManshakLawson@CalebMutfwang So when does it end? Imagine that the money for pilgrimage is channelled into fixing Primary Health Care Centres across 17 LGAs.
@UtomiPat What you've spoken points to "Uses and Gratification Theory of the media". Use of the media per person depends on what gratifies their desires. Some for comic relief, some for governance and public policies etc.
Dear Senator @DaveUmahi, and @Emekachukwu,
The road through Rukku Community, by the NNPC Mega Depot, about 26km from Jos, remains in a deplorable state after more than a decade of neglect.
This is not just a community road. It is an important corridor linking Rukku to Saminaka, Panbegwa, Zaria, Mararaban Jos, and Kaduna State. Yet, large sections have been washed away, with little or no asphalt, deep potholes, and severely damaged surfaces.
The consequences are serious. Vehicles are damaged, motorists face increased risks, and heavy gridlocks have become common. Some motorists now resort to longer routes through Bauchi State. A journey that should take about 4 hours now takes almost 8 hours for those who attempt to use this route.
During our visit on 20 August 2026, we found a heavy-duty vehicle trapped on the road. Community members said the vehicle had reportedly been stuck there throughout the night.
Interestingly, road construction materials were visible along some sections. According to the Rukku Community Youth Leader, @FedRoadsNGR began maintenance work but later abandoned it, reportedly due to the rains.
The question is: When will the work resume, and when will residents finally have a safe and motorable road?
@FMWNIG, @FedRoadsNGR, @DaveUmahi, Rukku and the communities along this corridor deserve more than temporary interventions.
We call for urgent action to restore this critical road and ensure that public infrastructure delivers value to the people who depend on it.
A road that turns a 4-hour journey into an 8-hour trip is not just inconvenient; it threatens livelihoods, road safety, and economic activity.

Our parents told us to go to school, work hard, learn a skill, start something of our own and build a better future.
So many young Nigerians are doing just that. Yet, the rising cost of living, limited opportunities and struggling businesses continue to make that future harder to reach.

Last month, Tracka held a climate outreach at Henco Blewin High School, Jos Plateau State, to teach the causes, effects and how to mitigate climate change in our environment.
30 trees were planted in the school. Each student to a tree and the management of the school allowed us to create a climate club at the school for more engagement.

Jos is second home to the Ogbomoso people. Out of 10 Yoruba in Jos, 7 is from Ogbomoso. Ogbomoso has a long time footprint in the development of the Plateau. And one of the best Amala I have eaten outside of Ogbomoso was in Jos when @JohnsonOkunadeA hosted me two years ago. Our documentary, A Road from Ogbomoso to Jos is coming soon.
Residents of Kabong Cry for a New Healthcare Centre🏥
FYA Gov @CalebMutfwang, Hon. Barr John Christopher,
This is the state of PHC Kabong, a centre that serves over 2,500 residents in Jos North, Plateau state.
Residents rely on this centre for essential services including malaria and typhoid treatment, antenatal and postnatal care, family planning, and basic laboratory services.
Despite its importance, the facility has been neglected for over a decade and cannot serve the community.
We observed that parts of the roof are collapsing and ceilings have fallen off, the facility leaks badly during rainfall, forcing staff to place buckets inside treatment areas and no proper waste management system in place.
These conditions pose serious health and safety risks to both patients and healthcare workers.
We call on @PLSGov, @NphcdaNG, and @Fmohnigeria, to urgently rehabilitate and upgrade PHC Kabong, ensuring safe, inclusive, and dignified healthcare for the community.
FYA Mr Governor, @CalebMutfwang, and Hon. Amalau Samuel Amalau,
PHC Burtura in Bokkos LGA, Plateau state serves over 2,000 residents, yet the facility is in a deplorable condition and grossly unfit to meet the healthcare needs of the community. The centre has only 2 wards with 2 beds each, meaning no more than four patients can be admitted at a time.
During our field visit, we observed serious deficiencies. No ceilings, exposing patients to rusted roofing sheets, no cannulas or proper stands for administering drips, poor waste management, and inadequate basic medical infrastructure.
Resident tell us that the most times, they have to travel to other communities because the centre is full or unable to cater to their medical needs.
We implore your offices and the @PLSGov, @NphcdaNG, and @Fmohnigeria to urgently intervene, rehabilitate, equip, and expand this health centre.
Access to basic healthcare should not be constrained by neglect.
