It was a great joy to welcome my dear friend and fellow servant of God, Bishop David Oyedepo, to the Global Crusade with Kumuyi in Ota.
His presence brought great joy to the gathering, and we give God all the glory for the wonderful moment of fellowship. #GlobalCrusadeWithKumuyi #GCKInOta #BishopOyedepo #PastorKumuyi
My heart truly goes out to this man. His devotion, discipline, and willingness to sacrifice so much show how deeply humanity longs to reach the divine.
But this also reminds me of the beauty of the Gospel — that God does not ask us to suffer endlessly in order to find Him. God came down to us in the person of Jesus Christ.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9
Salvation is not something we can earn through human effort, suffering, or works. It is a free gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
I pray that one day he encounters the true and living God, who is not found through human suffering or works, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. 🙏🏻❤️
NDC, this is bad. Really bad.
How can you call yourself a people’s party when the people cannot even afford to run for office under your platform?
₦2.5 million for State House of Assembly.
₦6 million for House of Representatives.
₦8 million for Senate.
₦30 million for Governorship.
₦60 million for Presidency.
This is not democracy at all, democracy is supposed to be a government by the people for the people but this one is just for the elites.
This is nothing but a way to stop ordinary Nigerians from ever running for office. Because tell me, how many ordinary citizens can afford this without being sponsored by some godfather who will later want to control them?
A Nigerian minimum wage worker earns ₦70,000 per month. That means the cheapest form here, State House of Assembly, is almost three years of salary if that person saves every naira and spends nothing on food, rent, transport, bills, family, or survival.
For House of Reps, it is over seven years of minimum wage salary.
For Senate, over nine years.
For Governorship, over thirty-five years.
For Presidency, over seventy-one years.
What exactly are ordinary Nigerians supposed to do with this kind of system?
Even in the UK, where the standard of living is far better than Nigeria’s, standing for Parliament requires a £500 deposit, and that deposit is refundable if the candidate gets at least 5% of the votes. Refundable is the key word.
A UK minimum wage worker doing only 20 hours a week can earn more than that in a month. But in Nigeria, a full-time minimum wage worker cannot even afford the cheapest political form after one full year of work.
So we need to ask the honest question:
Why does it cost more for an ordinary Nigerian to attempt State House of Assembly than it costs someone in the UK to begin the process of contesting for Parliament?
The US is different too because ballot access rules vary by state, but their major problem is campaign funding, not political parties charging people tens of millions just to buy internal party forms.
This is exactly why Nigerian politics keeps recycling the same rich men, godfathers, political merchants, and sponsored candidates.
You price out the ordinary citizens first, then you pretend to be shocked that the same corrupt class keeps returning to power.
NDC, if you are truly a people’s party, then stop pricing the people out of politics like the other political parties are doing.
The part that broke me the most was where he had to lie to them that he was not a Christian, but a Pegan. John must have thought that he’ll be freed if he says that. Then when the torture got out of hand, he shouted JESUS.
And these monsters said, “Oh! I thought you said you don’t know the name Jesus! I thought you said you don’t know the name! They insulted him and make mockery of his own JESUS”. They made him to denounce his own JESUS.💔💔💔💔🤧
Tonight, my heart is unbearably heavy…
I watched a man cry out in pain, helpless, beaten, and treated as though his life meant nothing and it broke something deep within me. Lord, how did we get here? How did we become a people who watch suffering and feel so powerless?
In his cries, I heard the echo of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who in His agony still looked up to You and said, “Father…”because even in pain, He knew You were there. So today, with tears in my eyes and fear in my heart, I call on You the same way… Father, please do not forsake us.
This land is hurting. The fear is real. The silence is loud. And for those of us who have nothing, no protection, no voice… it feels like we are left at the mercy of darkness. Lord, please arise. Let Your justice speak. Let Your mercy move. Let Your presence be felt again in this nation.
Please save that man, John… wherever he is right now, step into his pain. Hold him in ways no human can. Send help he cannot see. Fight for him when he is too weak to fight for himself. Remind him that he is not alone, even in that moment of terror.
Lord, I have no money, no influence, nothing physical to offer… but I refuse to be silent. So I give You this cry, this pain, this prayer. Please turn our tears into testimony. Turn this darkness into light. And remind us that You are still God, even here… even now.
Because at this point, Lord… You are all we have oh Jesus 😭😭😭😭😭🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
@rirokpik@Inkosana_ Those who believed in God and walked with him in righteousness made it to paradise. Before Jesus Christ died, there was a clear instruction of animal sacrifices to be made for atonement of sins. The death of Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice. Give Him a try.
@IkejaElectric@IkejaElectric This is terrible, this is not rationing anymore, this is total neglect, not even light for few hours to pump water at least. Ojokoro axis has been in total blackout for a week now. You guys should operate with small conscience naaa.
@themayor_ke Nigeria or not, no child in the world deserves to go through this. When political adults are busy embezzling resources the innocent future generations suffer.
Man Proposes, God Disposes!
It has been established that a technical glitch affected 157 centres out of the 887 centres in the 2025 UTME. This was basically responsible for the general low performance of the candidates scheduled to sit the examination in those centres.
Something definitely went wrong with the results released by @JAMBHQ this year.
Nigerian youths are not that dull academically.
Jamb should investigate and properly address the issue. These kids put a lot into that exam.
