Today, the rewards I promised our D’Tigress have been fully redeemed.

Each player has received the naira equivalent of $100,000, while each official has received the equivalent of $50,000, completing their package of cash rewards, national honours and three-bedroom homes in Abuja.

For the first time, a Federal Government has fulfilled this scale of presidential sporting rewards in full within one year. We had to follow the processes required by law and ensure that every commitment was properly implemented. That took time, but a promise made must be a promise kept.

We are also concluding the outstanding cash rewards for our Super Falcons.

The Super Falcons players and officials have already received the title documents to their house allocations and National Honours certificates. Likewise, the promise of houses and national honours I made to Super Eagles players has since been redeemed.

Our athletes who bring honour to Nigeria deserve more than applause. They deserve a country that keeps its word.

My promise to every Nigerian Athelete is make NIGERIA proud, and come back to a grateful Nation.

Congratulations once again, our athletes. Nigeria is proud of you.

As an educationist, I know that a classroom is where potential is discovered, dreams take root, and hope is nurtured. Every attack on a school, teacher, or student threatens the future of our children and communities.

Let us unite in protecting our schools, supporting our teachers, and safeguarding every child’s right to education.

FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU FLAGS-OFF DISTRIBUTION OF EMPOWERMENT ITEMS TO 2,500 WOMEN IN SOUTH EAST GEOPOLITICAL ZONE

The First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu has reiterated the importance of empowered women to the well being and prosperity of families and society at large.
She stated this in Owerri Imo state during the Flagg off of the presentation of empowerment items to 500 women in each state in the South-East zone, comprising of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that at the end of the nationwide rollout of the initiative, Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred (18,500) women across the country would have been empowered, with 500 beneficiaries selected from each state and the Federal Capital Territory.

“Today, 500 preselected women beneficiaries in each state in the South-East will be provided with empowerment items such as deep-chest freezers, maxi gas cookers with ovens, generators, and industrial grinding machines to support them in starting or growing their existing businesses”.

“In addition to the 500 beneficiaries in Imo State, I am pleased to learn that the Governor of Imo State has provided 2,000 additional empowerment items, bringing the total number of beneficiaries in the state to 2,500. I commend His Excellency for this generous gesture and encourage other State Governors to emulate this worthy example”.
The RHI/ Office of Sustainable Development Goals, SDG initiative which was flagged off in Abuja for the North-Central Zone on 21st February 2025 was followed by the distribution of empowerment items in the South-South Zone on 25th April 2026 and the South-West Zone on 23rd August 2025.

“Similarly, empowering women in all spheres of life is central to achieving all the SDG goals, especially SDG-5 on “achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls” and SDG-8 on “decent work and economic growth,” both of which are relevant to the purpose of this gathering”.

“To the beneficiaries of this empowerment program, I encourage you to use these resources judiciously to grow your business. Let these items serve as a foundation for creating a better life for yourselves and your families. I hope and pray that what you received today will prosper in your hands”.

In addition the First Lady senator Oluremi Tinubu also donated the sum of N250 million to the 2,500 women beneficiaries of the empowerment items.
Items is tributes at the event include deep-chest freezers, maxi gas cookers with ovens, generators, and industrial grinding machines to support them in starting or growing their existing businesses.

 Earlier, Senator Oluremi Tinubu was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Oso Di Eme of Imo by the council of traditional rulers of Imo State. The title, meaning ' One who supports her husband' was conferred on her by the State traditional rulers council in recognition of her role in driving the policies and programmes of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration for the benefit of Nigerians in general.

While asking Nigerians to trust the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, the First Lady reiterated that the nation is out of the dark tunnel and on a steady path to economic prosperity for all.

Dear @officialABAT,

I have served at NAFDAC for nearly a decade and dedicated years of my career to the fight against counterfeit and substandard medicines and unsafe food products.

My work in this area earned me the NAFDAC Director-General’s Merit Award in recognition of my contribution to the fight against fake food and drugs.

Mr. President, I am not asking for a favour. I am offering competence, experience and a proven commitment to the national interest.

Make me the Director-General of NAFDAC, give me the mandate and the institutional backing, and I will take the fight against counterfeit medicines and unsafe foods to an entirely different level.

Within the first six months, I will target a minimum 60% reduction in the circulation of counterfeit and substandard medicines and unsafe regulated products, with the ultimate objective of driving the menace to the barest minimum within one year.

Nigeria does not lack capable professionals. Sometimes, what is needed is simply the courage to put the right person in the right place.

Give me the mandate. Give me the tools. I will deliver.

Nigeria deserves a stronger, more effective war against fake drugs and unsafe foods.

Yesterday, I engaged with a massive gathering of young people and support groups at the Youth Town Hall Interactive Engagement at IBB Square, Makurdi.

I shared the progress we have made so far, the opportunities we are creating, and our plans to empower more young people across Benue.

Our youths are not just leaders of tomorrow; they are important partners in building the Benue we desire today. Through skills development, education, entrepreneurship, technology, and other youth-focused programmes, we will continue to create opportunities for our young people to learn, grow, and succeed.

I urged them to remain focused, responsible, and committed to the progress of our dear State. I also encouraged them to be good ambassadors of Benue wherever they find themselves.
