Thai forces have reportedly violated the existing ceasefire agreement, following the deployment of armoured vehicles and additional troops to occupied Cambodian territory near the O Smach border crossing in Oddar Meanchey province.

Thailand 🇹🇭 destroyed Preah Vihear Temple claiming it was a threat.

If they had a functioning brain, they’d see it differently. This is a @UNESCO World Heritage site visited by thousands of int’l tourists annually. Everything there is security infra: personnel, police stations, offices, first aid teams, construction crews, safeguards, protecting tourists from around the world, including Thais.

If there’s military presence, it’s an extra security layer, it’s standard border security, an additional safeguard under @UNESCO oversight. They know what they’re doing. They’re not stupid!

This is cultural genocide, war crimes, deliberate destruction of humanity’s shared heritage! Thailand must pay for these crimes.

The Thai military has not released the 18 detained Cambodian soldiers, even after the 72-hour ceasefire period expired at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 30).

In joint statement of the 3rd Special General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting dated 27 December 2025, in the spirit of the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration on 26 October 2025, the 18 Cambodian soldiers will be returned to Cambodia after the ceasefire has been fully maintained for 72 hours.
