Akash Maeen lived and worked in Hyderabad with his pregnant wife. A few days ago, he traveled to Mumbai, where his parents resided, to gift them a car.
The car delivery was delayed, and while returning from the showroom on his bike, with his wife as a pillion rider, his parents were in an auto ahead. Suddenly, another auto cut sharply in front of Akash, nearly causing him to fall. He honked and told the driver to be more careful.
The auto driver became enraged and started hurling abuses. A physical altercation ensued, and auto driver called his friends. Soon, 15-20 people began assaulting Akash. His wife, mother, and father, who rushed to help, were also injured. Tragically, his wife suffered a miscarriage, and Akash succumbed to his injuries.
Akash was not at fault, yet he paid with his life, the life of his unborn child, and left a family shattered forever.
We have a serious issue on our hands. We're living among zombies, goons, and criminals, who won't hesitate to kill over something as trivial as overtaking or honking. But for you, your life and your family’s safety should matter more than your ego. It’s not worth working hard, paying taxes, only to be lynched on the road for no reason. Your argument won't change their minds. On the road, keep calm. Don’t argue. Don’t react. Let it go.
This is called situational awareness, not cowardice. I’m not blaming Akash at all, he was right, but it’s better to be wrong and alive than right and dead.
Some people who were supporting Indian cricket team wholeheartedly are jumping on hating BCCI and all the players in just ONE DAY?
They did the same for Hardik
They did the same for Virat
They did the same for Rohit
They did the same for Bumrah
Many Indians don’t love cricket - they just love to be on the winning side.
If someone who is such an avid supporter of test cricket and so passionately loves playing for India chooses to miss two games, it must be a deeply compelling reason. So let us wish Virat Kohli well, hope this phase passes and that he returns happier.
Ashish Nehra said "Why Rohit Sharma can play so fearless & aggressively is because Virat Kohli is there - Virat Kohli plays with his time because Rohit Sharma plays like this so both seem to be two sides of a coin, they play together for the team". [Cricbuzz]
Max is an absolutely fantastic driver who has had an incredible season and I have nothing but huge respect for him, but what just happened is absolutely unacceptable. I cannot believe what we’ve just seen.
@CoxHelp A customer rep confirmed he scheduled a technician visit, but the technician never arrived. I checked with another customer rep and she said the previous rep never scheduled it :(
TERRIBLE customer service. I had to schedule a different visit, internet-less for 4 days!!!
It didn’t do anywhere near as much for 2 sessions ... Spun but not like what it’s doing now ... India would have drawn the first Test if they had batted anything like in the 1st innings ... This isn’t a good Test match pitch ...
There’s no diff between the ball seaming/spinning to much. We always want a fair contest between bat/ball. India have batted & bowled better than Eng in this match - simple. Conditions have been the same for both sides from ball one. But this is excessive & in favour of the ball
The toss was more important to win in the 1st test than this one, as it did nothing the 1st 2 days. Then exploded. This one has been a turner from ball one. Eng should’ve bowled India out for 220. No different between spinning or seaming & Rohit showed how to play on this surface
