Mohamed Bejgat Al-Khalaq, de nueve años, jugaba al fútbol con otros niños y adolescentes en el patio de la escuela de la aldea de Ar-Rihiya, en la provincia de Hebrón. Por la tarde, el 16 de octubre de 2025, dos jeeps militares entraron en la aldea. Los niños, temiendo el gas lacrimógeno como había ocurrido antes, huyeron del campo y se escondieron entre las casas.
Cuatro soldados salieron de uno de los jeeps. Dos de ellos comenzaron a disparar hacia el lugar adonde habían huido los niños; uno lanzó granadas de gas lacrimógeno y el otro disparó munición real. Una de las balas alcanzó a Mohamed. Después de ser herido de bala, los soldados continuaron lanzando granadas de gas hacia el lugar donde yacía. Cuando un residente local intentó llegar hasta Mohamed para evacuarlo, también dispararon hacia él. Finalmente, el hombre logró llegar a Mohamed y rescatarlo. Mohamed fue trasladado al hospital, donde se confirmó su muerte. Su madre, Aaliyah, contó que Mohamed amaba el fútbol, era un estudiante destacado y soñaba con ser médico. "Cuando jugaba con sus hermanos, siempre pedía que lo llamaran 'el doctor Mohamed'. Pero ese sueño ya no se hará realidad después de que un soldado israelí le disparara y lo matara".
Mohamed es uno de los 54 niños y adolescentes que fueron asesinados en 2025 por el ejército en Cisjordania. El informe "Infancia Expuesta" presenta sus historias y las circunstancias que llevaron a la muerte de cada uno de ellos. Desde octubre de 2023 hasta el 27 de julio de 2026, Israel ha matado a 1100 palestinos en Cisjordania, de los cuales 242 eran niños y adolescentes. Theme: Allah’s Absolute Oneness and Unlimited Creative Power

مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ مِنْ وَلَدٍ ۖ سُبْحَانَهُ ۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ

“It is not befitting for Allah to take a son. Glory be to Him! When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be!’ and it is.”

LESSONS:
1. Allah is absolutely One and completely self-sufficient: The declaration, “It is not befitting for Allah to take a son,” affirms the perfection of Tawḥīd. Allah has no child, parent, partner, equal or associate. Parenthood belongs to created beings who reproduce and depend upon one another. Allah, however, is al-Ghaniyy, absolutely independent of His creation.

2. The miraculous birth of ʿĪsā does not make him divine: This verse comes within the Qur’ānic account of Maryam and ʿĪsā (AS). His birth without a father was a magnificent miracle, but a miracle demonstrates the power of Allah, not the divinity of the person through whom the miracle occurs. The One who created Ādam without father or mother could certainly create ʿĪsā without a father.

3. “Subḥānahu” teaches us to transcend human categories when thinking about Allah: Allah says, “Glory be to Him!” He is exalted above every imperfection and every description that contradicts His majesty. Human beings must therefore be careful not to understand Allah through the limitations, needs and biological realities of created beings.

4. “Kun fa-yakūn” reveals the absolute power of Allah: “Be! and it is.” Nothing is difficult for Allah. He requires neither tools nor assistance, and no obstacle can frustrate His decree. What appears impossible according to ordinary human experience remains entirely possible by the command of the Creator.

5. Never allow the apparent impossibility of a situation to weaken your hope in Allah: The story of Maryam teaches a profound lesson beyond theology: Allah is not restricted by the causes and limitations that restrict us. When every visible means appears exhausted, His power remains unlimited. The believer therefore works through lawful means, supplicates sincerely and maintains hope, knowing that the Lord who says “Be!” and it is can create possibilities where human beings see none.

O Allah, strengthen our faith in Your absolute Oneness, perfection and unlimited power. Purify our hearts from every belief unworthy of Your Majesty. Grant us certainty that nothing is difficult for You, and never allow our circumstances to make us despair of Your mercy. When our paths appear closed, open for us doors we could never have imagined. When our means are exhausted, sustain us by Your grace. Decree for us goodness in this world and the Hereafter, protect our faith until our final breath, and make us among those who meet You with pure Tawḥīd. Āmīn.

Theme: Nothing Is Difficult for Allah

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّاۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا

“He said, ‘So it will be. Your Lord says, “It is easy for Me. And We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter already decreed.”

LESSONS:
1. Nothing is impossible for Allah.
Maryam was astonished at how she could have a child when no man had touched her. Allah’s answer redirects human thought from the apparent impossibility of the situation to the absolute perfection of His power. What appears impossible according to the ordinary laws of creation remains completely easy for the Creator of those laws.

2. Allah is not restricted by the means through which things normally occur.
Human beings naturally expect causes to produce effects: marriage precedes childbirth, effort precedes achievement, and medicine precedes recovery. Yet Allah is the Creator of both causes and effects. He may accomplish His will through familiar means or independently of them. The believer therefore uses lawful means while placing ultimate reliance upon Allah.

3. Prophet ʿĪsā عليه السلام was an extraordinary sign of Allah, not evidence of divinity.
Allah explicitly describes the miraculous birth of ʿĪsā as an āyah, a sign for humanity. His birth without a father demonstrates Allah’s creative power. The miracle points towards the greatness of the Creator rather than making the created servant divine.

4. Allah sends mercy in ways that human beings may not initially understand.
Allah describes ʿĪsā عليه السلام as “a mercy from Us.” Yet his conception initially brought Maryam anxiety, isolation and a tremendous trial. This teaches us that something which begins with uncertainty or hardship may eventually reveal itself as an immense mercy. We should therefore never judge Allah’s decree merely by its difficult beginning.

5. What Allah has decreed will certainly come to pass.
The words “and it is a matter already decreed”, teach profound submission to Divine Decree. Once Allah wills a matter, no obstacle can frustrate it. Our responsibility is to trust Him, obey Him, employ the appropriate means and recognise that the final outcome belongs entirely to Him.

O Allah, strengthen our certainty in Your unlimited power. When circumstances appear impossible, remind our hearts that nothing is difficult for You. Grant us the wisdom to employ the lawful means available to us while relying completely upon You. Make Your decrees concerning us sources of mercy and goodness, strengthen us to remain patient when we do not immediately understand Your wisdom, and grant us complete contentment with whatever You have destined for us.

O Allah, as You made ʿĪsā عليه السلام a sign and a mercy, make our lives instruments of goodness, guidance and mercy to others. Āmīn.
