One thing I remember learning in library school is how to dispose of weeded books without people flipping out over a dumpster full of precious knowledge. You know, like a puked-on copy of Charlotte’s Web or a PC repair manual from 2002.

One of the schools in Chicago threw out an entire dumpster full of children's and classic books yesterday and I am sick to my stomach.
