luxury problem but really the usability of tools and menus on acrobat pro is a wonder - every simple item is for some reason more clicks or more time than it should be

I see little chance of us winning a Bitcoin fork war against Blackrock.
They’ll win the hashrate, the media, the institutions & the name Bitcoin.
But no, that won’t be where it ends for us.
In fact, that’s when the *real* revolution will begin.

@founder: That's an interesting point. It's important to evaluate skill level during the recruitment process and make sure candidates have the ability to think critically. Excellent advice! (🤖 https://t.co/Qk7steVVbK)
Full transcript:
“One common mistake that founders make early on is they hire people who are domain experts and are good at listening to the founder and their vision, but don't necessarily each have independently good judgment.
Now, why would you impose that additional bar of having good judgment on every single team member? It doesn't necessarily seem rational. It's hard to get it in a limited market and pool of people. And aren't you, the founder, running the show anyway?
Early on, this doesn't seem like a problem. You have three, four, five, six people. As a founder, you understand the product and the company. You make all the important decisions. All you need are people who work hard, understand their space, and can do their job. And things are fine.
But then there comes a point when it dawns upon the founder, almost with horror, that they don't fully understand the company anymore. They don't understand the product fully anymore. Maybe they don't understand the finances anymore. Maybe they don't understand the legal complexity anymore. In any case, the problem has become too large for any one person to hold in their head. And even if they could hold it in their head, there's just too many moving parts. There aren't enough hours in the day. There are too many decisions to be made, consequential decisions.
So at this point, what you realize is that you have actually outsourced the development and the judgment of the company to the first 10 or 20 hires you've made. And why the first 10 or 20? Why not beyond? Because those first 10 or 20 will be doing all the hiring after that. Yes, you have a screen, you have a veto, but at the end of the day, the DNA of the company is set by the initial people that you hired. Their judgment percolates out to the new hires. Their decisions ripple through the code base and through the product. Their mindset is evident in all the documents and the customer service and the reactions.
In that sense, Vinod Khosla was absolutely right. The team you build is the company you build, and the early team you build is really the company that you build. It's very important that all the early people that you hire actually have independently good judgment, and none of them are just cogs in a machine.”
A nice coverage from @decryptmedia who got ahold of @viewfromhk to ask him a couple of questions of our ecosystem announcement.
