As you may have heard, “The Thing” has been added to the Library of Congress. We made the movie to push against the edges of what we could pull off, and it carries that strain in its bones. Seeing it now treated with the same care and reverence we had making it means a great deal to me and everyone who brought it to life.

I especially want to remember TK Carter, who brought heart and humor into that desolate, frozen place and should be standing here with us today sharing in this recognition.

Carol asked if a dog “is not be of you” and Zosia said “definitely not.” Being connected to a dog and a dog being the same as a connected human are 2 different things. Viewers that make assumptions like this call BS because they’re being fooled by the hive.

@TheCinesthetic All of Mike Judge’s stuff is under appreciated. I just started revisiting Beavis and Butthead with my 15 year old, which came out when I was 15. Their commentary on videos is actually very smart, cutting and hilarious. Not dumb like the animated shorts.

Just to be clear, this movie is called Frostbiter and it has a whole assortment of fun stop-motion critters including a chili pot demon.

IMDb rates it around 4.8 but its entertainment value is more like 9.5. Watch it with a group of friends for maximum enjoyment.

@jjxmayb4nk So, here’s a good example of an ambiguous ending. Duffer Bros used the MCU/DC trope of stylized comic book end credits so most will think it just looks cool. Really they’re showing us Mike grew up to publish his FICTIONAL STORY about real life tragedies that happened in Hawkins.
