@jailhouse81 It's a free game, and a remake of an older title. I guess there's no point for the rights holders to take action against it.
If I were to do an adventure covering the story of the book/film, it would have to be a commercial title. Otherwise it would take too long to make...
@jailhouse81 I would love to see this as a full game myself! But I think the biggest obstacle would be getting the rights, since the project would need to have the rights both to the book and the film. Convincing the rights holders to do a retro pixel art adventure would be pretty tough!
@jailhouse81 That would take a couple of days to budget, and it would depend on the cost of externals such as voice actors, sound people etc. Why do you ask?
@jailhouse81 It's only a free fan-made demo, not a full game. I don't have a budget or deadline. Donations help me buy a coffee, which is when I like to do my pixel art :)
@g_ortega_david They remade a commercial title. Different thing. Which is why I won’t remake The Abbey. My project is more similar to Steamed Hams: https://t.co/h4KWeKgvHt
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas with this preview of my personal Name of the Rose #Unity project. Hope you're not stuck in a cold murderous abbey! 😅🎄 #pixelart#pixakiapp#indiegame
@MoreC64@FREEZE64UK Floaty looks better but plays worse 😅 For gameplay reasons I think “hard” would be best, unless floaty can be made to show more space ahead of the character.
