They get cached here:
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\backup
If you hit a dev/sysadmin, you'll find all kinds of crazy stuff.

@scrumdumpster69 This was also the case at my high school in 2003. Another fun fact, that was all you needed to reset a password when you called support.
