I like not acknowledging everyone I walk past. Maybe in the suburbs people are so few when u find one it’s a refuge, like when I work from home all day. And in the city you would quite die at the amount of social stamina to see the humanity in that many people.

The AM after trump was elected I was walking to class. Two white men walk passed each other( gave a knowing smile ) and high fived.

I live in an all black area and we usually give a nod or r silent.

In the white suburbs I was growing you greeted every person you walked by.
