This 40-looking, 140-kg Gen Z whale has the audacity to throw the “hamare tax se inko salary milti hai” line at an Army Commanding Officer whose entry into the cordoned-off zone she was blocking.
The Army isn't a private service being provided to individual taxpayers. Defence is a sovereign function of the state, funded from the consolidated public budget. A taxpayer doesn't personally employ a soldier and therefore doesn't acquire the right to order, obstruct or demean him. The soldier serves the Republic through the chain of command and the law.
Army personnel pay taxes too. They are salaried employees, so tax is deducted at source. They pay taxes on their interest, investments and other taxable income as well. They neither evade taxes by default nor steal a single rupee from the public exchequer.
Yet somehow, they are supposed to stand there and listen to entitled, loudmouthed, uncouth people lecture them about “taxpayers’ money.”
And ironically, according to social media reports, her family is into property dealing. We all know what a spotless reputation the property-dealing business has when it comes to tax compliance. But since it’s apparently cool, the “taxpayers’ money pays your salary” taunt can always be thrown at the armed forces.
My dear lady, our soldiers pay their taxes and serve the nation even before they receive their salaries. The places you freely visit are safe because our brave soldiers guard them day and night, often putting their own lives at risk.
Your language reflects your upbringing and education. Respect others, respect the law and remember that rights and entitlements come with responsibilities.
Before demanding entitlements, learn to be a responsible law-abiding citizen. And lastly… Get well soon.

Oh C’mon! Stop harassing Ladakh Police and Indian Army. Let them do their job. If at all she is GenZ, she is bringing bad name to GenZ as well as tourists who are enjoying their visit to J&K UT and Ladakh UT. Elitism and privilege tone in voice.
Usual career arc is basically do something outrageously stupid, abuse authorities, get trolled on the Internet, play victim card, shed tears on Instagram, and eventually share your tale of bravery in the living room of the leader of opposition.
1. She shouted at least three times at the Indian Army ‐ "We are Gen Z". Since when has being Gen Z been a license to do anything?
2. She said to the soldiers - "You all are getting salaries from our taxes... You think you are above us now?" Well, paying taxes does not put anyone above the rules. Soldiers don’t take pleasure in enforcing restrictions. If they are standing there, they are doing it for strong reasons and for your safety.
3. She said twice - "We are tourists". So? If you are a tourist, you have to follow the rules and regulations of that particular area. Whether you go to Kashmir or anywhere else, you are expected to respect the local laws, security requirements, and instructions of the authorities.
Freedom does not mean freedom from rules.

Keeping aside party affiliations , we must acknowledge one spectacular fight put up by an individual. Taking on the liquor mafia , which has entrenched itself in TN over decades. One common man who has now become a minister is taking on this cartel. He’s putting up a valiant fight. Whether he will succeed , time will say. But this fight is a daring attempt. My full support to him in bringing about changes to the TASMAC. A big battle is being waged. The cartel is using its media might and the mafia has deep pockets. Our support can make the difference.
And being a performing a minister. Hon minister Vignesh apparently is being trusted by the CM , a reshuffle on the cards may see him getting additional portfolios. However his fight against the liquor media is historic and significant . Let’s see how it pans out.
