Girls are taught how to avoid harassment.
How to dress.
Where to go.
When to come home.

But why isn’t the same effort put into teaching men not to harass, assault or rape women?

Do you know what is truly disturbing about today’s India?

There was a time when our cinema told the stories of people who actually fought for our freedom, Bhagat singh, Gandhi, Nehru and countless others who sacrificed their lives for this country. Those were our real stories, our history and people watched them because they wanted to know what shaped India.

Now look at what we are increasingly being fed.

Historical fantasy.

We defeated the Mughals.
We defeated the Afgan.
We defeated the Turk.
Ten people fighting a hundred and winning. Facts replaced by fantasies designed to make people feel heroic.

And then there is the growing glorification of figures like Neem karoli baba through stories of miracles and supernatural powers.

The irony is that karoli baba and bhagat singh belonged to essentially the same era, with only a few years separating their ages.

While Bhagat singh was fighting the british and ultimately walking to the gallows for India, That fraud Baba was sitting hidden away in caves, nowhere in the freedom struggle.

So if someone is now being portrayed as such a great, powerful and enlightened figure, the obvious question is:

What exactly did he do for India’s freedom?

Bhagat singh went to the gallows. Gandhi went to prison. Nehru spent years behind bars. Countless ordinary Indians sacrificed everything in the fight against british rule.

And today, instead of telling their stories, we are increasingly turning miracles, myths and fantasies into blockbuster entertainment.

Faith is your personal choice. Believe whatever you want.

But when a country starts replacing the people who actually fought for its freedom with miracle stories and manufactured fantasies, it isn't just changing its movies, it is rewriting the memory of an entire generation.

And that should genuinely worry us.
