I'd like to say a few things about the current state of affairs in Ireland.
But I'm a legal immigrant. I speak the language, pay my taxes, and respect the culture, so of course anything I say will be dismissed as some kind of "ism."

I'll say this, though: I made my home here almost ten years ago, and in that time I've watched a beautiful country turn ugly.

The Third World is not a place, it's what happens when governments fail to serve the best interests of their own people.

Florida can never find money to fix roads, replace aging sewer lines, or maintain state parks. Yet hundreds of millions of dollars sit in political PACs.

Floridians are taxed on purchases, property, fuel, and countless fees. Taxpayers even fund the state employees and websites used to track PAC money. Why isn’t that money taxed too?

The political class openly talks about their well-funded friends, then uses PAC cash for political ads and smear campaigns while basic infrastructure takes a back seat.

Maybe it’s time to follow the money.

No warning was given to Santa Rosa County residents before herbicides were sprayed along utility lines.
