@aymanalabdul @nathanbarry @bandholz I wouldn’t say that. I’ve found them to be directionally accurate. As I’ve done more hiring, I’m learning how to do reference interviews more properly and put more weight into them, versus trying to justify lukewarm / borderline reference interviews.

@aymanalabdul @nathanbarry @bandholz I’ve avoided some bad hires with reference checks. I’ve also ignored lukewarm reference checks and been disappointed with the person shortly after starting. That said, I’ve also had good reference checks that ended up in early terminations too…
