After WWI, colonial powers didn't just divide Kurdish land—they erased Kurdish history.

Look at these 13th & 17th-century manuscripts: they explicitly call Saladin’s reign the "Kurdish State" (دولة الأكراد). Yet, @Britannica ignores this, rebranding them as merely a "Sunni Muslim dynasty."

This isn't just a label; it’s the colonial erasure of a national identity.

Crazy, Iran and its militias have systematically attacked the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, probably more than 500 or 600 attacks now since Feb. 28. The Kurdistan Region has done NOTHING to deserve this, they haven't fought back, they dont do anything against Iran or the militias...but they are targeted hundreds of times, and Kurds are killed and wounded by this onslaught.

Why? Because Iran sees this as an easy target, a vulnerable are that Iran wants to consume with its monstrous militias...it wants to drag the KRG down because the KRG is successful; KRG is an island of security, a place people go to find freedom and security and stability.

Iran and its militias hate to see any kind of success, they want the region dragged down into war and flames. And this is what they do. They destroy Iraq, Lebanon, etc.

Iran can argue it has a reason to strike back at the US or Israel (anyway it has been doing that for forty-five years)...but it has waged this war to set the region ablaze and make Iraq a front. Not because of "right to self-defense" but offense...that is the reality.

This is because Iraq has tried to prevent trade to the KRG, and now wants the KRG to export oil while the KRG can’t conduct other trade. It’s the typical Baghdad aspect of wanting things from KRG while trying to isolate the KRG and letting militias attack the Kurdistan region

Again - experts are saying things about the Kurdish people that no Kurd in this world has ever heard.

Kurmanji and Sorani are dialects of the same language - Sorani and Kurmanji speakers do not have a problem when talking to each other.

„Their tribal lineages are different“ is also such an odd argument - since when do Kurds need to have the same family lineage to talk to each other?

And you do not need to be a member of the PKK to communicate with *Iranian Kurds* - I don’t even know what to say to this statement..

What does Tsurkov even know about how the Kurds in Syria feel? - no Kurd communicates with her ever since the invasion of Afrin, something she vividly endorsed - her articles in support of the invasion can still be found on the Internet.
