On the whole, I think having a twitter account is very bad for my mental state. It's completely unproductive and there are many idiots. The temptation to engage with them is extremely high but it achieves nothing. So I'm out. Will be focusing on the real world instead. Bye.
@sherbetsaucers Another thing they do - send texts at 3.45 saying "I'm in Leeds with a client, free at 5.30 if you fancy a pint". Er no. I work in Manchester. Surprisingly, my office is not near that pub round the corner from you in Leeds.
@sherbetsaucers God yes. And yet, flip it around and suggest a meeting in Manchester and it's like suggesting they fly to the moon. And a 9am meeting in Manchester? That will blow their tiny little London bound minds.
@DavidHenigUK I can assure you that in the meetings I have from time to time at DIT or BEIS, any mention of Brexit is met with embarrassment, paper shuffling and comments like "Yes, well...." and a swift change of subject.
@alicesalisburyj@mrianleslie My education didn't mention the Empire at all. History is Egypt, Romans, William the Conqueror, Henry VIII, Nazis. That's it.
@mrjamesob I''m an atheist, but I look at so many who claim to be "Christians" and I think "If I'm wrong and you're right, you're in for one hell of an awkward conversation pretty soon"
@BBCPolitics I don't believe there will be 17 mile tailbacks. There will be short tailbacks and much, much less traffic. Which will be a lot worse for the UK economy...
