Sending lots of love to the Apple community on my last day as CEO. My title changes tomorrow, but the love I have for the Apple community never will. Thank you for being a constant source of inspiration. My gratitude is endless, and I’m excited for the next chapter!
Playing with marbles and chalk, using ink pens, binding books in hard copy or covering notebooks with brown paper, and going to school in the afternoon rather than the morning until year 5.
I think most people get headaches at some point in their lives. I get them more often than others, and sometimes they are so severe that I think I’ll die of the headaches. #headaches
This might sound crazy, but according to research, about 4% of the population say they have never experienced a headache.
Do you know anyone who has never had a headache?
I'm gradually moving away from very expensive things. They're not worth it most of the time, or maybe as I get older, I feel money has lost its value. Maybe we're just filling the Earth with junk.
Everything is already written, which is why sometimes people say they wish we could see the future, as if it already exists for us to see. I think there is some free will, but not total, and maybe there isn’t any free will at all, only something strong can change what’s written.
I wonder why and how some people can easily work their way up with lower or no qualifications, while despite being more qualified, I can’t get a job that matches my qualifications, education level, or experience, not even part-time. This hierarchy is discriminatory and unfair.
I’ve applied for a lot more jobs than I remember, including a PhD. I keep going into therapy with ChatGPT every time my job applications get rejected because it’s free, and I don’t have to worry about what I’m telling another human or being given a medical diagnosis. #JobSearch
I hoped to find a job within a month of completing my MSc in Education. Instead, I’ve been unemployed for almost a year. My graduation ceremony was only last month, so I can tell myself I graduated then and have only been looking for graduate work for a month.
#jobmarket
The job market is not the problem. Racism and discrimination are. Young people who should be at university and older people who should be retired are working. Yet when we hear about unemployment, the focus is often on young people, not millennials like me.

If we want people to research and contribute new knowledge in the UK, why should they go into debt to do a PhD when many other countries provide far more funding and support for PhD research?
Even if I don’t do a PhD myself, this is an important issue to raise.
#PhDResearch
I really want to do a PhD. Imagine a slow, relaxed PhD for three or four years, almost like permanent employment. But I don’t think it’s right to expect students to fund a PhD themselves or take a student loan to pay for it. This is where I feel the UK has lost its way.

Almost 100,000 people are estimated to have been affected by the Nepal floods – with at least 33 Britons missing.
Two lakes are currently being monitored by Nepali authorities for risks of further flooding.
There should be an arms embargo on Israel; there's continuous genocide in Palestine, even after a ceasefire was declared, and there are no more hostages to retrieve. Everything happening in the Middle East is largely because of Israel, including the war on Iran. #stoparmingisrael
In the UK, where women can get pregnant by anonymous donors and siblings sometimes don’t know each other or their real parents, banning cousin marriage is hypocrisy. At least Muslims have clear rules about marriage and know their real parents and siblings.
#Islamophobia
Muslims don’t only marry cousins; they can also marry certain relatives. Islam has clear marriage rules, though medical evidence shows repeated family marriages over generations can harm future children. Banning it on immigration grounds is not a valid reason.

🚨NEW: Labour is now considering a ban on first-cousin marriage
Dr Luke Evans invited Andy Burnham to cross-party talks last night after it was revealed that a migrant was able to remain in the UK by marrying their cousin
Banning cousin marriage because a Sudanese migrant stayed in the UK is almost inhumane. There is constant war in Sudan; some news calls it equivalent to a genocidal war. Using that as an example to ban cousin marriage is Islamophobic and against human rights.
