🚔Officer discovers hemp THCa preroll during traffic stop. Couldn't arrest for that, so he conjured up a "hemp DUI". -- He was NOT letting this guy go free.
Officer Riley Arvanitis and another Schererville, Indiana officer stop a man named Antoinne for a minor traffic violation.
They find a packaged hemp THCa preroll.
That’s legal. They can’t arrest him for possessing it.
So the case changes.
Arvanitis switches to a DUI theory. Says he has probable cause to believe Antoinne is under the influence. Implied Consent comes out. License suspension is on the table if he refuses testing. Antoinne agrees to the tests.
He still gets arrested.
The preroll didn’t give them a possession charge. It gave them a reason to keep going until they found another one.
Legal product. Same result. Different statute.
❓When officers can’t charge possession, how fast does the stop become a "DUI investigation"?
❓Why do some officers treat Farm Bill hemp like street weed the second they see the bag?
❓If the package has a COA and a THCa label, why wasn’t that the end of the stop?
This woman right here is an American icon and God's gift to this earth. Everything that she touched was absolute hilarity. I've seen her in so many different things and she never fails to crack me up. Here are some awesome clips of the legend, Betty white. Try not to laugh. 🤣🤣
