BENSON’S SECRET MANUAL: Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is defending her voting records destruction rule… with a document she won't even show the JUDGE.

Her new claim now: "No electronic records are destroyed.”

Her new proof: a CONFIDENTIAL manual that we can’t see. Just trust us, nothing to see here, and no need to verify.

Not sworn. Not filed. NEVER MENTIONED ONCE in this case until a tiny footnote in her FINAL brief. A brief nobody typically gets to answer.

For 25 pages, Benson's lawyers refused to defend her voting records deletion rule at all in their first brief. The Director of Elections "cannot offer a substantive argument," they wrote, "without tipping his hand."

Then they suddenly tried to defend Benson’s rule in the last brief. At the last possible second. Their offer of proof? A document nobody outside the Department can read.

And here's the part you can't make up: the SAME DAY her lawyers wrote "no electronic records are destroyed," Benson's Bureau sent a memo that ordered every clerk in Michigan to DELETE their electronic poll book files by August 31.

I asked the Court for permission to answer their new CLAIMS MADE WITHOUT EVIDENCE (a sur-reply). Benson's lawyers REFUSED to agree, saying it was unnecessary.

Well, at 4:45 PM yesterday, the Court thought it was necessary and granted it. My client gets the last word in this bizarre exchange.

The Court saw that new deletion memo too. It took judicial notice of it, said it "is inconsistent with this Court's August 13, 2026 order," and issued a TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER: my client continues to keep her election records until further order of the Court.

The statewide destruction deadline is still AUGUST 31. My client is protected. Michigan's other 1,600 local clerks are not out the woods yet.

Following Victor Martinez Nieto’s arrest, ICE processed his request to voluntarily depart the United States with his son, Liam, and they were removed from the country on August 25.

ICE does NOT separate families. Parents are asked if the they want to be removed with their children or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates. In this case, both the father and son were deported together.

NOBODY is above the law. When illegal alien parents willingly choose to break our nation’s laws, they are responsible for what happens to their children – just as any U.S. citizen parent who breaks the law is when they are arrested.
