Someone on Reddit asked, “if you’re injured as a result of a mass shooting, are you responsible for that medical bill?” And I find that a uniquely American question.
Such a positive #AdvocacyDay meeting with Kate & Kevin from @AngeliqueAshby's office. The senator is a @MomsDemand volunteer herself.
Shout out to the amazing Jamila Land & her incredible organization
Anti-Violence Safety & Accountability Project. Let's get #AB28 & #SB2 passed!
Hundreds of volunteers, students, and survivors showed up at Advocacy Day in California and Washington today. They met with lawmakers to share our support for and the evidence behind strengthening gun laws. #GunLawsSaveLives#MomsAreEverywhere
Thank you @Scott_Wiener from this @MomsDemand volunteer (and San Francisco constituent!) for your leadership and commitment to gun violence prevention. #CALeg, let's pass #SB2 and #AB28
I'm in Sacramento with @MomsDemand and @StudentsDemand talking with legislators about #AB28 and #SB2 and we've just heard about an armed intruder situation at @WestValleyCC in Saratoga. Just another gun-filled day in America.
You know, we *don't* have to live like this.
The state of Tennessee ranks 36th in overall child well-being.
44th in health.
14th in infant mortality.
In 2021, it was ranked the 4th most violent state in the country.
And 1 in 5 children there live in poverty.
But sure, ban drag shows.
All Americans, regardless of party, should take pride in knowing that the leader of the United States stepped into a war zone today to demonstrate our support for democracy and our European allies and partners, and to stand again Putin, naked aggression, and war crimes. #Ukraine
14 months ago I had to evacuate from Oxford High Schol when a fifteen year old opened fire and killed four of my classmates and injured seven more.
Tonight, I am sitting under my desk at Michigan State Univeristy, once again texting everyone “I love you”
When will this end?
