Corruption remains one of the biggest problems in the Indian police system. In many cases, money, political influence, and personal connections can determine how quickly and fairly a case is handled. Ordinary citizens often face delays, while powerful individuals may receive preferential treatment. This weakens public trust and undermines the principle of equal justice for all.

@AshwiniVaishnaw I have been trying to get a new bsnl connection in Mumbai for more than a week. Applied online then called customer service who asked to apply via WhatsApp. Did that too, but nothing happening. Things haven’t changed much unfortunately inspite of your efforts.

@KehKeLelo12 @walkingproject Same story in almost every Mumbai suburb. Footpath’s are always encroached by hawkers. Citizens who buy from these hawkers are also to be blamed. But a policy is required to put an end to footpath encroachment. I will vote for those who strive to improve residents quality of life

Tried chatting with agent to resolve but the agent was extremely unhelpful and disconnected the chat without allowing me to respond. Bad service overall. Spent 5500 instead of 4288.#Uber

I booked my first Uber intercity from point A to point B and was told a charge of 4288 but after trip completion charge went up to 4750 and reason mentioned is additional distance charged. How can this be when you travel just as you had booked your trip.

And they conveniently do not inform upfront that the tolls are to be paid separately to the driver(730INR). You have to dig deeper to find that information.

When I was a little boy, the Japanese military attacked Pearl Harbor. It was a surprise attack, and thousands of U.S. servicemembers perished. As a nation, we were stunned. And we vowed to strike back. Revenge was understandably on everyone’s mind, including many Americans of Japanese descent who opposed the emperor and were peaceful and law-abiding U.S. citizens and residents.

In its zeal to exact that revenge, however, the U.S. government overreacted, out of fear and bigotry. They targeted everyone who happened to look like the people who had carried out the attack. Those of us who had done nothing wrong were forced to pay the consequences for the decisions of others far away and disconnected from us. We were interned for years, in open-air prisons, while America went off to fight Japan, Germany and Italy.

It’s so important that we carry the lessons of the past through to today. Merely because one group commits atrocities and acts with depravity does not mean vast hundreds of thousands or even millions of others should be lumped together with them and made to suffer. We must never paint with the brush of justice and retaliation too broadly, or the toll of human suffering will rise immeasurably.
