@allenanalysis The US spends over 7 trillion dollars a year on welfare and Medicaid programs. 25 billion dollars is not a whole lot of money by comparison.

@cryptorover This has to be click-bait. No one thinks this is a realistic solution. Plus, it's 4,000 Km of rail and it's a 14-day trip. Railroad tracks are incredibly easy to destroy. And you know exactly what route they are taking.

@4TaxFairness It's a pretty good bet that's not the way to have more rich people move to your state. I've yet to meet a person who thought it was a smart financial move to pay more in taxes.

@SprinterPress If this were true, wouldn't it make more sense to do this in the US during a drought? Or prevent a hurricane from taking lives and destroying our coastlines? Stopping a few tornados would also be awesome.

@ShangguanJiewen We have that in the US. It's called the welfare system. The mother never has to work, and they get to have all the children they want.

@allenanalysis It sounds like some rich people will be moving out of the state just like big businesses. And there is no such thing as a "one-time tax" in California. Once they smell the blood in the water, they always come back for more.
