Anti-Iranian regime activists have spoken out about the abuse and injuries they have suffered on British soil at the hands of supporters of the Tehran regime.
Human rights activist Ellie Borhan was pushed to the ground, punched and left with multiple injuries, including a broken foot, after being attacked at demonstrations in London two years ago.
She has also been subjected to an online campaign of threats and abuse, and says she has been followed home and watched.
Last Friday, Borhan and other Iranian dissidents wrote to MPs urging the UK Government to do more to tackle repression and other threats linked to the Iranian regime.
Activist Ali Taranssari said his private information was shared in a pro-Tehran regime channel, including personal details and the fact he was a Reform UK candidate in Birmingham’s local elections.
Borhan came to the UK in 2006 to study and later became a British citizen. She said: “I appreciate the life I have in the UK, I appreciate the culture. But I worry for Britain too.”
She added: “Everyone should have freedom of speech. And no one should assault someone else just for opening up and talking about the truth.”

I’m calling on President Steinmeier and Prime Minister Sánchez:
Watch this video. It’s less than a minute. An iranian teenage protester is told he’s charged with “moharebeh.”
He is only 18 and he doesn’t even know what it means. He asks.
The answer? The indicator answered him with one word: execution.
And then he breaks down. Begging. Crying. Because his “crime” is demanding freedom.
You’ve been thanked by this regime. You have direct lines. Use them.
Demand that the regime in Iran respect international law.
When a child has to ask what he’s accused of and the answer is death, that’s not justice.
That’s a regime waging war on unarmed children and violating international law.
Two years after the enactment of legislation under Article 23, fear has further intensified in Hong Kong.
This past year, people have been arrested for writing graffiti, sharing songs and creating petitions.
📢 The Safeguarding National Security Ordinance must be repealed.
The Islamic regime has confirmed the death-sentence of 18 year old Melika Azizi was carried earlier today. Melika was arrested in January 2026 during nation-wide protests and charged with "moharebeh" (waging war against god for allegedly burning Islamic regime symbols.
In court, Melika told the judge: "You let so many young people bleed. How can I remain silent? I don't care just kill me"
She was a brave young lady!

🟧 On the International Day for the Right to the Truth, the Emirates Detainees Advocacy Centre Calls for the Disclosure of the Fate of Activist Jasim Al Shamsi
On the occasion of the International Day for the Right to the Truth, the Emirates Detainees Advocacy Centre (EDAC) renews its urgent call to reveal the fate of Emirati activist Jasim Rashid Al Shamsi, who has been forcibly disappeared since his arrest on 6 November 2025.
EDAC expresses deep concern over Al Shamsi’s complete isolation from the outside world for more than three months, and the denial of his wife, Raghda Kiwan, and his family to obtain any information regarding his whereabouts or conditions of detention, which raises serious fears for his safety and the risk of ill-treatment.
EDAC emphasises the following:
• Enforced disappearance is a continuing crime: Concealing Al Shamsi’s fate constitutes a grave violation of international law and an infringement of his family’s fundamental right to know the truth.
• Call to Syrian authorities: We urge the relevant authorities in Syria to immediately disclose Al Shamsi’s place of detention, guarantee his safety, allow him to communicate with his family and legal counsel, and ensure full fair trial guarantees.
• Call for international action: We call on Syrian and international human rights organisations, as well as UN mechanisms, to urgently intervene and apply pressure to end this violation. Continued disregard for this case undermines the rule of law and entrenches a culture of impunity.

🟠 Mohamed Al-Roken marks yet another year behind bars, while justice remains stalled and accountability absent.
Time has not obscured the truth; it has made it clearer. Each passing day exposes this imprisonment for what it is: not the rule of law, but a grave violation of fundamental rights.
His case is more than a detention, it is a measure of whether justice still holds meaning. Silencing principled voices does not erase them; it only reveals the depth of repression.
Freedom is not a privilege granted by power, it is an inalienable right.
Freedom for Mohamed Al-Roken now. Silence is no longer an option.

Sutton Amnesty is pleased to hear of the release of Ahmed Souab. This demonstrates the power of Amnesty local groups and activists working collectively in advocating for the release of those imprisoned unjustly.
#Tunisia: Human rights lawyer Ahmed Souab is finally free after 10 months of arbitrary detention. He was sentenced for doing his job as a defence lawyer. @amnesty will continue to call on the Tunisian authorities to release all those detained for exercising their human rights.
Amidst an ongoing crackdown on dissent in the aftermath of the January protest massacres in Iran, a Court convicted human rights defender Narges Mohammadi for her human rights activism after a grossly unfair trial and sentenced her to 7.5 years in prison.
Since her arbitrary arrest on 12th December 2025, Iran's authorities have denied her access to family and lawyers, including in court, and have held her incommunicado in harsh conditions in a Mashhad detention facility.
Iranian authorities have denied Narges Mohammadi access to adequate and timely health care despite her poor health and torture related injuries.
The Iranian authorities must immediately and unconditionally release Narges Mohammadi.
Iranian authorities have sentenced at least 8 people to death in February 2026. At least 22 others, including 2 children, are at risk of the death penalty. We urge you to call on the Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei to quash the convictions and death sentences.

On this Ash Wednesday, Days Of Ash is released as a self-contained collection of five new songs and a selected poem - American Obituary, The Tears Of Things, Song Of The Future, Wildpeace, One Life At A Time and Yours Eternally (ft. Ed Sheeran & Taras Topolia). This new EP is a response to current events, inspired by the many extraordinary and courageous people fighting on the frontlines of freedom. Four of the five tracks are about individuals – a mother, a father, a teenage girl whose lives were brutally cut short - and a soldier who’d rather be singing but is ready to die for the freedom of his country.
