People have accused O’Fallon, myself, and others of being “cruel” to Megan Basham. But what they conveniently ignore is that many of us have spent years (literally) extending grace to Megan, even as we watched her move in an increasingly troubling direction.

I’ve personally tried to address these concerns with her privately, respectfully, and graciously on multiple occasions. Even recently, as the screenshot below demonstrates, I reached out privately to challenge her endorsements of postliberals and their organizations before bringing any of this into the public square as I am this week. And this was hardly the first time.

And how does she respond? She ignores the substance of the criticism, refuses to answer straightforward questions, and then takes to social media to repeatedly misrepresent what I and others have actually said.

For example, she has repeatedly claimed that I’m telling people she’s an antisemite. That is categorically false. I have never said or even implied that Megan Basham is an antisemite, because I don’t believe she is. That has never been my criticism of her. My criticism concerns her repeated endorsements of postliberals, their organizations, and the broader ideological project they represent (and I’ve repeatedly demonstrated).

Yet rather than address those criticisms directly, she continues to make the conversation about an accusation I never made, calls me and others “Maoists” (communists — ironically in the same manner the Left calls us all “racists” when we don’t go along with their program).

So spare me the lectures about how “cruel” we supposedly are for finally addressing these concerns publicly. We tried privately. We extended grace. We gave her opportunities to respond. And when those efforts went nowhere, we brought our criticisms into the open.

Public accountability is not cruelty simply because private correction was ignored.

And portraying those who have repeatedly tried to engage her public behavior as the aggressors is not a defense of her position. It is an attempt to change the subject.

The question remains the same, no matter how many times she tries to redirect the conversation: Why does Megan Basham continue to endorse and defend influential figures and institutions within the postliberal movement while refusing to seriously address the ideological concerns raised about them? Still waiting on this to be answered clearly. I doubt it will.

Thanks to the great work of @StoneChoir and others many believers are learning about the history of the Septuagint for the first time.

Long before the Masoretes codified their specific Hebrew text between the 7th and 10th centuries AD the Greek Old Testament was the authoritative Scripture used by the writers of the New Testament, the early Church Fathers and of course the Apostles themselves. The LXX provided the framework for understanding the Old Testament as a witness to Christ.

The Masoretic Text represents one specific strand of Hebrew preservation which (as @StoneChoir has highlighted extensively in their work on this topic) often reflected anti-Christian editorial choices made precisely to counter the Church’s use of prophecy to prove Jesus is the Messiah.

When the Masoretes standardized their text they were working within a tradition that had spent centuries actively rejecting the Gospel. To suggest we are "beholden" to them for our Bible is to suggest that we must rely on the records of those who opposed the truth to understand the truth itself. What foolishness.

When Calvin or others engaged with these works they did so with the discernment of men who viewed those sources through the lens of the Gospel, obviously. Their exegesis was governed by the New Testament, not the commentaries or hermeneutic of the antichrist rabbis.

The Old Testament is not a borrowed artifact from antichrist Jews, it is the record of the covenant that finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ. We don't owe our Bible to those who denied and continue to deny the Messiah. In trying to do so you grant a status to post-70 AD Judaism that Scripture itself denies.

We are the heirs of the promise and the Scriptures are ours by right of the New Covenant in His blood. Period.

Boomers and GenXers are telling young men that the way to get Stacy is to give her flowers, take them on dinner dates, and to be nice to them.

What they don’t want you to know (or what they’re in denial about), is that Stacy is in several situationships with men that see her as practice but she’s hoping to secure one with sex. Or she’s just “having fun”. Stacy isn’t interested in romance and nice guys, she will tell you that she wants that while she’s meeting guys through her DMs on Instagram and meeting them for dates and hookups while she’s away at a college that her girl dad is funding. The girl dad and single mom only see Stacy for thanksgiving and church and when they ask her about her personal life, she gives them the clean version of it and they believe it 100%.

This is why all this advice from girl dads and girl moms is completely delusional; they are in denial about the kind of daughter that they have raised and are shocked that men know their daughters more than they do because in their mind, it just can’t be true. Their precious little princess can’t possibly be doing all sorts of depraved acts with men who will not remember her name in a year! But how would they know if all they know about their daughters is based on what she tells them?

We have MASSES of parents in denial about the kind of daughter that they have. They don’t know their own daughters and fully believe their lies and that’s why their advice is delusional on a caricature level.

Mark Levin is out here demanding criminal investigations into the journalists and sources who exposed his stepson. The same stepson who should have his security clearance stripped yesterday if these “allegations” are true.

He’s not demanding answers about 9 dead Americans. Not asking why his stepson allegedly rewrote embassy cables to cover for a foreign government. Not questioning why the State Department’s human rights report on Israel went from 100+ pages to 9 under his stepson’s watch.

Nah, he wants to know who talked.

And his hissy fit makes a lot more sense when you remember that Mark Levin is the man who has made millions being the loudest pro-Netanyahu voice in American media. The man whose wife ran legal for the Koch brothers’ $236M dark money operation, is currently general counsel of Stephen Miller’s America First Legal, and sits on a state advisory board that works directly with the Israeli Ministry of Defense. The same man whose stepson holds top-secret clearance and allegedly choked off U.S. intelligence to protect the Israeli government from accountability for killing American citizens.

If David Milstein goes down, the whole house of cards comes with him, including Levin and his wife.

And don't forget about the 53 senators who voted on September 29 to block a resolution requiring a State Department report on those 9 American deaths, the ones Milstein allegedly ran cover on. Every Republican except Rand Paul voted no, plus Fetterman of course who cosplays a Democrat. Senator Steve Daines literally told colleagues to vote no so we could “stand with our ally Israel.” Standing with an ally is not burying your own citizens’ deaths. That’s not an alliance, IT'S A COVERUP. Going to look into Daniels....

So, the embassy had the report and Milstein allegedly killed it. Thirty members of Congress wrote to Secretary Rubio demanding accountability and the compromised Senate said no.

And the stepfather of the man at the center of all of it is on national television every night screaming about leakers instead of asking one single question about 9 dead Americans.

If these allegations are true, and I whole heartedly believe them, Milstein needs to lose his clearance and be investigated for treason. Mark Levin needs to be investigated as well and his wife. The members of the Senate who are part of the coverfup of 9 dead Americans need to be held accountable.
